Flame Japanese Cuisine — Restaurant in Kowloon

I've tried the TST shop twice as the food is really good although quite expensive. But this time I am really disappointing about the service of the reception staff. I came here two weeks ago having dinner with cousins and reserved directly with the staff for today's night. I came here and found out that my booking disappeared. The reception staff apologized for the missing and asked us to wait outside that he will arrange for that. 20 minutes later, I noticed that a table of 4 kept vacant during my waiting. I then asked again how's the arrangement, but he kept asking me to wait and the arrangement was making. That's ridiculous to keep customer waiting without any true explanation. I just felt that he thought that I was lying and tried to treated me as a walk-in customer. I don't mind you tell me the truth that my booking was missing and can't arrange a table as a pre-booking customer, but tried not to fool me like I will keep waiting until further notice. That's not a way to keep your customer to come again. I may come to visit this shop again but not the TST branch.

Generally a place with good vibe with a great smell of bbq once entered.

The tempura and all the fried dishes were all tasty. Batter is crispy and don’t have that oily feeling. Very well seasoned.

The bbq seafood were just ok. The scallops were fresh and very well cleaned but they were plain and infused with a bit of bbq charcoal burn smell. The crab shell was a better one as it was full of its natural flavour and the other ingredients mixed well. The squid was liked the scallop, seasoning could have been stronger.

The sushi was up to standard. The salmon ramen was recommended but it was a bit average, good for photo.

All drinks were nice. The drinks with fruit were both refreshing with a bit piece of fruit inside. Went well with food.

Servers were all helpful and friendly.

Table was a bit crowded as a gas stove was placed on one side of the table in front of two of the guests. Overall ambience was not bad.

Price was a tiny bit pricy but still on the average range particularly in this part...

DON'T go to this restaurant!The food showed in the menu was not matched with the real dish. We felt being cheated today. The grilled cuttlefish was ok but the snacks which were held by the tiny alu container(appr.4.5x2.5 inches) e.g. cheese with asparagus and the so called prawns were like a baby portion. The asparagus was like spring onion and there were more onions than asparagus(less than5). Actually they were not prawns but just shrimps (5pcs). it costs you ard $58-65 each. When we saw it, we complained. Then the waitress didn't say anything but just said she could cancel it right away. We felt like this was not their first time. They should feel ashamed to serve those tiny dishes. The fried rice with mini cubes of beef had NO TASTE AT ALL.We were still hungry but we couldn't finish the fried rice. We finally went to the restaurant which was next to it. WE HAD A BAD DINING EXPERIENCE IN THIS RESTAURANT. They CHEAT people with INGREDIENTS as if the customers're stupid!...
