Went here ages ago for their Donburi. Sashimi dons are trending lately and quite pricey.I went here seeing reviews that this place is quite affordable but you have to stand there to eat.
The dons range from $68-108.
It was really difficult choosing a don because they all looked captivating but in the end I chose the black one because you don't often see it and I got some extra Salmon roe because I love Salmon roe.
There is sushi as well if you want something light.
Here was my black don which was stunning as expected!!
I didn't realize the portion was that big and I couldn't finish it all because the assorted sashimi on top is more than it looks, there is about a bowl of it there.
It was a mix of prawns, squid, flounder skirts and kinmedi which went nicely with the rice and secret black sauce, covered generously in black tobiko.Each mouthful was delightful with the popping tobiko (not to be confused with caviar).
The salmon roe was divine and popped with bursts of saltiness.
