GULU GULU — Restaurant in Kowloon

I was intending to take my friend to this Sweet and Sour joint in TST but they went here instead so I ended up coming here.

Luckily this place was nearby so I was able to walk over in 10 mins.

When I got there, it turned out to be a pub but then it would be being on Knutford Terrace.

Luckily it was happy hour from 6-9pm so drinks were cheaper.

For non Alcoholic drinks I got the tropical island which was only HKD35 so it was a bargain as most places charge more for non alcoholic drinks.

They also have a mini DJ booth so I wish Miss Yellow was there.

Foodwise, it was also good especially the skewers.

For skewers I ordered the minced chicken, chicken wings, okra and tofu but when it came I was give leeks instead of the minced chicken.

Anyway, my favourite skewer was the tofu because they used the spongy one which has a lovely texture.

The wings were a bit dry and the okra was a bit salty.

Finished with the hot soba.

This was quite filling simplistic.

The only complaint was the crispy bits which were rancid.

Will definitely come back if I am in TST because soft drinks during HH...

One star is generous. We visited this cocktail bar expecting decent drinks, especially given the premium prices. Unfortunately, what we got was far from it. The whisky sour was an outright insult to bartending—and to anyone who appreciates a well-made cocktail. The highlight of the evening? A bottled beer—because at least they didn’t get a chance to ruin it.

In addition we were served crackers that we did not want, but they said we have to pay for them anyways because it is a public holiday, later on the bill we saw we were charged two portions but got only one serving. When ordering a shot they said minimum order is three even though on the menu it has prices for one and six. Truly disappointing and borderline...

Sorry for unable to give the higher mark since there was (not many choices) from the menu and drink list, with the quite (expensive rate). It costs ($70+ for majority BBQ stew) with only 2 pieces. What is more, there were some foods and drinks were not available although they were listed on the menu.

One thing we have to praise was the service, it was good. However, visiting a pub not only for a glass, but also the foods at reasonable price as it was on the 4th floor of the...
