The place is a scam.
Sat down. Asked if we want tea/water. I shake my head answer 'no'. They bring over hot water, peanuts and then an unrequested soup for both of us anyway. I check menu inside page - they charge +$10 for each of these.
I order my mains and ask for these extras to be taken away. They remove the soups. Left the peanuts/water (which I don't touch). At meal end they bring over unrequested dessert.
I don't touch it either and ask for bill.
With the automatic +10% service charge it should be $155ish (two cheap mains). Bill is for $195. In Chinese so I can't break it down but there are four items.
I asked for none of it. I told them to take it away. They still charged.
Mains were worse quality than nearby all you can eat vegetarian buffets.
Don't go to this restaurant. Let it go out...
Read moreWe visited the restaurant today and the food more than stands up to comparable offerings down in the city. Agree that prices are a little high for Tai Po but its hands down the best vegetarian offering in the neighbourhood. The fake char siu was cooked beautifully and the turnip cake dish (my personal favourite at any rate) was delicious!
I really thought the staff were lovely too. Although I can communicate in Chinese all of the staff were more keen to communicate in English. The guy running the place when we were in today (24/11/19) was really enthusiastic and welcoming. We will go...

The size of the restaurant is decent, peaceful environment. Service can be better, one time I ordered food and waited more than 25 mins, then asked where it was.. the waiter said she forgot to give the slip to the cook, for that I will have to take some marks off. Sometimes the female waiters can...
