Every once in a while I feel like having spicy mixian. After reading the good reviews of Sing Lum Khui on various media platform and the convenient location in Tsim Sha Shui, I decided to give it a try.
You may customize everything on the menu like the level of spiciness and sourness, less noodles, no coriander, more bean sprouts etc.
Soup Mixian with spicy sliced pork and romaine lettuce $49 Soup Mixian is $35 and you may pick your own toppings. It took 15mins for them to cook my order although they was only 1 other table of customers. Sliced pork belly is one of the ingredients that shows if the restaurant is putting effort in its food or not. Turns out it was plain boiled frozen pork slices. No marinade. Very thin slices. Almost next to no nutritious value, yet so warm to your heart and comforting to the soul. The soup base is the heart of the operation, is just the best especially for those who like sour and/or spicy. Expectation management folks: you are paying $50, 60, 70 per head. Do not expect the world. This is one of the most famous mixian noodle places in all of Hong Kong and for a good reason. Every seat has charging cable for your gadgets (usb C, lightning, and micro usb). Always a welcoming, homey feeling although not the cleanest restaurant...
