Every once in a while I feel like having spicy mixian. After reading the good reviews of Sing Lum Khui on various media platform and the convenient location in Tsim Sha Shui, I decided to give it a try.

You may customize everything on the menu like the level of spiciness and sourness, less noodles, no coriander, more bean sprouts etc.

Soup Mixian with spicy sliced pork and romaine lettuce $49 Soup Mixian is $35 and you may pick your own toppings. It took 15mins for them to cook my order although they was only 1 other table of customers. Sliced pork belly is one of the ingredients that shows if the restaurant is putting effort in its food or not. Turns out it was plain boiled frozen pork slices. No marinade. Very thin slices. I picked very spicy and normal sour. Instead of hot and sour, the soup was full of bean sauce and soooo sweet! The mixian was also overcooked.

Such a disappointing meal. Next time I should probably go back to Tsuen Wan for a proper bowl...

somehow this restaurant is very popular with both tourists and local residents, even for those first-time vistors and Hong Kongers living far from the eatery. ehh i read the review online and come here but to be honest its nothing special at least in my opinion. i tried the featured spicy rice noodle but its not that spicy or savory, at least not in my sense. the soup (broth) is ok and the vegetable is also fine. but in general far below my expectations. the traffic to here is ok kind of convenient. the interior environment is clean and most staff here are friendly. but as this is a popular restaurant so you may have to allow some waiting time, if you are here in peak hours you may have to wait for more than 20min... very...

Shop is renowned by the owner who won the Hong Kong God of Cookery Champion Gold Award. Essentially, it is a highly-customisable bowl of mixian noodle. Comfort food I call it. Almost next to no nutritious value, yet so warm to your heart and comforting to the soul. The soup base is the heart of the operation, is just the best especially for those who like sour and/or spicy. Expectation management folks: you are paying $50, 60, 70 per head. Do not expect the world. This is one of the most famous mixian noodle places in all of Hong Kong and for a good reason. Every seat has charging cable for your gadgets (usb C, lightning, and micro usb). Always a welcoming, homey feeling although not the cleanest restaurant...
