Aria by Chef D 安妮亞與D — Restaurant in Sé

I cannot express in words how good this restaurant actually is, you have to experience it. Don't be fooled by the alley-like location or size of the place; give it a try and I promise you won't be disappointed.

Nine of us decided to eat here unannounced and there really wasn't room. But Chef D switched up the table layout and made it work.

The food was simply fantastic. As we're eating one dish after another, it's dawning on all of us that we're experiencing one of the best restaurants we've ever been to. The integration of Chef D's South African roots really shines through. Everything tasted incredible and yet unique. All the ingredients and all the items on every plate were prepared with a purpose. The man is a true culinary master.

Chef D also "hosted" us, explaining the dishes, offering us special drinks, etc. His interaction made it a very special evening.

ARIA really is an hidden gem in Macau and we were lucky that foodie friends recommended it. Nestled in a quiet alleyway, this unassuming tiny restaurant will surprise you in many ways! From the warm welcome of chef Denver himself to the impeccable South African cuisine with a twist cooked in house with the best ingredients. The clams in creamy harissa sauce were so divine we had to use bread to soak it all up. The seared tuna salad was the best we ever had, and beautiful to look at. What sealed the deal for us was the citrus crust whole sea bass, cooked to perfection. Chef D's recipe is another level and impressed our demanding palates. We stumbled upon Aria by Chef D and were absolutely blown away by the food and hospitality! We ordered the burgers, fries, and wings, and every bite was pure joy. The burgers were juicy and packed with flavor, the fries perfectly crisp, and the wings—so good we couldn’t stop eating!

To top it all off, we even got their desserts—the brownie ala mode and cheesecake—and they were the perfect sweet ending to our meal. Rich, indulgent, and beautifully presented!

What made the experience even more memorable was the warm, friendly service. Both the South African and Filipino chefs were incredibly nice and accommodating, taking the time to chat with us and make sure everything was perfect. You can really feel the passion and heart behind their food.
