One night I got too drunk to go back home from the Bund, so I decided to spent my night in the Captain Hostel. Next morning, I had a hangover and the guy in the hostel room told me there is a rooftop bar there. That's how, I found this place. And it was quite nice, save my life with nice food and good beer. Captain is a great place for drinks and pizzas. The view is lovely and the staff are efficient, and polite. Outdoor seating is difficult to get unless you are a regular or have a reservation. Reservation policies are strict so be sure to check properly. The only thing I disliked was that they charge you RMB 150 if you bring a cake from outside which is fine by me.
