House Of Blues & Jazz — Restaurant in Shanghai

Vet very disappointed with this joint, I was looking forward to visiting this bar, as I love the blues... I am a tourist in Shanghai, so when I entered, the bar man handed a menu of over priced drinks, I said no immediately, and asked for a draft pint of 1664 kronenburg. As he was fetching it, another bar man approached me, and seemed to say something, I just smiled and he went away. Then my pint arrived, he returned and said loudly 88. 88 rmb is almost €12.... I asked him to repeat it, and he did. He slapped the change of 100 rmb note on the counter, and walked away. Music wise, the band were trying hard, but the lights were so bright, it was difficult to get an atmosphere, the bar is a very awkward design, and thus has no ambience. A perfect spot for jazz lovers! Located just 200m from the Bund, this bar has incredible charm. The atmosphere is wonderful: a cozy space with dim lighting, stylish decor and, of course, top-notch live music.

Service is excellent - polite and professional staff. The kitchen serves delicious food that perfectly complements the evening. But the real highlight is the musicians' performances! Every night features authentic, high-quality jazz that creates a magical vibe.

Very very bad service, food is slow and the staff gave my food to other people. Overall just bad, wouldn’t recommend.

When I came there was no one, tables around me are already receiving their food and I was waiting for my food just to realise they gave it to other people on my table. I ordered a set, they should have known better.
