My worst stay during our recent trip to China. We stayed at the Hi Inn Bund East Yan'an Rd. For a 2-star hotel costing almost 1 million rupiah, this was TERRIBLE. I thought it would be close to everything, but guess what, we took taxis almost everywhere, turned out quite a distance to The Bund & Yuyuan. And the hotel doesn't have a vehicle stop / taxi stop so we had to always quickly jump in or out and with our luggages. The receptionists were completely unfriendly, as if we owed them money 🤷🏻‍♀️ There were no bathroom doors, and the entire room smelled of cigarette smoke and was damp, even though the AC had been left on full power all day, making our clothes in our suitcases wet. The place was very cramped and very dirty. 3-in-1 body wash, shampoo & conditioner. I recommend to stay at a homestay, they're more sincere doing a lodging business and usually way much cheaper.

We (me/my wife and 2 kids) landed in Shanghai Pudong International Airport at 05:30Hrs on the 20th Dec'13 and we were having the confirmed booking of Jingda Hotel for a family room (2rooms) for 4 Nights. The language is a main problem in China. We managed to reach the Hotel around 07:30Hrs and the hotel reception was happy to receive us and immediately gave us the room (no discussions on early check-in or extra money). The rooms were very good, one Queen + twin bed (2 rooms) and the en-suite bath was not up to the mark. ||||The Bund area was hardly 5-7min walk and the Walking Street was really 10min walking distance from the hotel, we were amazed with the location and the hotel standard was good got money. ||||Major Hotel drawback: Hotel reception staff was sitting mum... and the room services staffs were mum.. and doing their work sincerely....reason for mum, language problem...."No English" only they know is "YES" / "NO", even in the streets you will not find a local person who can talk to you in English. You have to manage by dancing and showing them the actions, for getting a small inquiry.|| ||Vegetarians have to survive on bread and butter or fruits only. Of course we enjoyed small oranges a lot (it's very famous), it tasted like honey.||||We enjoyed our stay in Jingda Hotel and we will recommend this hotel to all our friends and relatives too.||||if you can understand English, then "thanks Jingda hotel for giving us a...

This place is great for those of us who will only use it to sleep. Most rooms dont have a window due to the lack of view bit if you want a window it's a couple extra RMB but you won't have a good view. This place is perfectly located ONE (and a half) BLOCK AWAY FROM THE BUND AND ALL ITS AWESOMENESS. There is no breakfast included like most motel like hotels and THERE IS NO ELEVATOR like in most hostels, inns, and other low priced accommodations. I have stayed at this hotel many times and even once with my dad when he was flying back to the states and we just needed a cheap room. The two beds in a room is literally for two people and no more. They also have single room beds and I have gotten those before too and they're great they have a bathroom and shower with hot water and complimentary toothbrushes and combs and small toiletries. The shower has shampoo and body gel dispenser though it's often filled in the wrong spot. LOL. Over all it's a good place to stay that's seriously a money saver and super close to buses and the Bund and...
