Bella Taipa @ Modern Italian Cusine — Restaurant in Taipa

Bella Taipa is a modern Italian restaurant located on Rua dos Clergies in Taipa Village. I gave them a try a couple weeks ago but unfortunately didn't have as much luck as most who have tried and reviewed this restaurant.

Here you find multiple floors in a nicely decorated restaurant, serving up a nice range of Italian based menu items. Prices are towards the high end for dining out in Taipa. On the evening, I ordered the 4 cheeses pizza served with fig (MOP198).

What I was served was a medium sized basic cheese pizza (see picture) with no figs, garnish or anything to complement the cheeses. The crust was baked decently, the cheeses had a better than average taste. Would have liked knowing how the fig would have contributed to the pizza. Perhaps this missing ingredient would have made the difference. In the end, this was not a terrible pizza what was served didn't warrant the high price...

Great Italian tonight! I know because I had two Italians (people with Italian blood) next to me telling me so. Great little rooftop area and a fast efficient team getting a large group fed and watered. It was a bit slow for getting ordered drinks but we had a large group descend upon them and they weren't quite prepared. (Our numbers doubled that evening) Great chef interactions and an enjoyable night out. Air conditioning was cold which is enjoyable on a 32C...

The Signature Prawn Pie is amazing with a pumpkin base pie. Black Pork Mushroom Risotto is also very delicious. Pork is tender and flavorful.

Their signature cocktail, Bella Taipa 2.0 stands out and is one of the best ones I've had lately. It is very refreshing and special.
