A very nice restaurant with pleasant decor and staff. I ordered a Steak Iron and my girlfriend ordered a T-bone Steak, both of which were cooked very well to the desired amount. The Steak Iron was served in an iron pan, which spat oil everywhere, but I was provided with a napkin to protect my clothes with. It was very tasty, but sadly, about ⅓ of it was gristle and fat. The T+bone Steak was not quite so tasty, but my girlfriend enjoyed it nonetheless. They were served with salad and potatoe wedges, which I liked, but my girlfriend would have preferred them to be crispier. I'm English and my girlfriend is French and the waiter spoke both English and French, which made a nice change. We also ordered a strawberry smoothie, which again, I liked, but my girlfriend was less satisfied with. Overall, we both enjoyed our meal and would recommend this restaurant without a doubt. It wasn't cheap, but it wasn't expensive either, compared with our home countries. I uploaded menu pages for your...
Read moreYou'll find more delicious meat at any asadero in Bogotá. I expected tasty steak (the New York strip) but found it bland, which disappointed me for the price. The restaurant has a romantic atmosphere with gentle lighting and jazz. The wait staff offers attentive service. The best tastes came from the salad croutons and dressing. I see from other reviews diners commonly experience tough meat; a quarter of mine consisted of gristle. The rest had reasonable texture, just little flavor. Perhaps they don't age their meat. A friend recommended the restaurant. I don't know what he was thinking. I would not return, nor would I suggest it to others, if you like steak. The restaurant apparently asks people to rate it on Google Maps if they enjoy their experience. The high rating deceived me and must be more from the atmosphere and service...
Read moreLower your expectation on steaks in Colombia. It’s generally tough and chewy compared to US. Skip steak chorizo(tough and chewy). Get filet/lomo or baby beef instead if you want tender. Everything else is going to be tough and chewy compared to US steakhouses. The palmito appetizer is excellent. Choripán is also a nice appetizer but ask for lemon. This is a beautiful restaurant inside. Waitress speaks fluent English. After you order your steak she will show you a photo of how you like your steak medium, medium rare, etc. And it came out exactly as how we wanted. Make sure you check out the upstairs special room for photo op! Come here to enjoy the ambiance, for the best experience, only order filet mignon and baby beef. I loved seeing Anthony Bourdain’s painted portrait here. He is...
