After dine at restaurants around the world, we have high standards for the places we choose to dine in, so we went to this restaurant in Cartagena with high expectations, were 4 of us, looking for a great dining experience but rather became an stressful one. The restaurant was totally empty, we were the only table occupy in the entire restaurant. Never received the traditional welcoming, name of waiter/waitress/ menu, recommendations, etc. We had to call the waitress 4 times to get service, to get water, to get wine list, to ask for the menu. Again, the place was empty!!! She had a terrible attitude, didn't offer suggestions, not pleasant, no smile, she didn't want to be bothered!!! We felt like we were inconvenient to them. All staff standing around the restaurant chatting, basically no service. When we mentioned it to the waitress she responded i just stay here then! Cant say much about the food, never got to order, we left with the worst dinning experience ever. Went to a new restaurant ANIMARE , at Casa Pestagua, were received with a big smile, friendly staff, again, we were the only table in the restaurant, Tuesday night, had everyone attentive to small details. That was a great dining experience and they were very happy with our generous tip!!! We mentioned to the manager at ANIMARE that he could provide training to the staff at HARRYS Sasson, obviously they do NOT know what a good or even basic customer...
Read moreI entered this expensive and beautiful restaurant expecting from reviews and the menu itself something special. unfortunately I was disappointed. The courtesy bread and butter, beautifully presented, seemed as if created by the Pillsbury Dough Boy himself, was to say the least, just awful. Supermarket instant bread dressed up with a little coconut or whatever. Truly dreadful. I ordered a Greek salad, which was very generous in size, bit consisted of mostly tomatoes. The feta and olives were of ok quality, but the concept of a Greek salad was missed entirely. Were the tomatoes of quality, such a you might still find in Spain, Italy or Greece I might be more kind, but these tomatoes were completely bland and tasteless, such we have to suffer anywhere that has even a remote connection with the USA. Let’s face it, grocery store tomatoes in the western hemisphere are just dreadful. Mi plato fuerte was crab raviolis which were quite delicious but again, nothing special. Very expensive and really not...
Read moreI wished there were more stars to give to this restaurant! The entire experience was one of the best we've had. Everything from the courteus treatment they gave us, the fast and effective service, the attention to every detail throughout the meal, the quality of the food, the ambiance of the place, everything was TOP STAR. The servers were attentive all the time and provided excellent custimer service, whenever we need anything whoever was passing by would take care of us inmediately. We had the patacones and fried calamari for starters (don't eat it all if you want to keep trying other plates, portions are rather big) then shared a fried rice (superb taste) and short ribs. All that food will have you very full but make some space for their Mil hojas and you won't regret it. It's amazing and in one word PERFECT! Highly recommend this restaurant above any other...
