Restaurante El castillo Guatapé — Restaurant in Guatapé

I was recommended to come to El Castillo Guatape from some locals. Got in here just before the rain came down hard!

Located on Calle 30.

Owner is super friendly and they have a massive brown Doberman Pinscher who is my new friend 😀

I ordered the Pechuga de Pollo Al carbon (Charcoal chicken breast) with a baked potato, veggie salad and an arepa.

All were delicious and you can taste that charcoal bbq flavor on the chicken 😋

There is a patio outside and a huge indoor dining area. Tons of seating options. So glad I came here! 🔥 💯

Yeah this place is awesome. Owner Alex is super nice and gives good recs.

We had the cazuela de frijoles (bean soup with plantains, avocado, chicharrón) and the trucha asado al carbón (charcoal-grilled local trout). Both were fantastic.

The star of the show was the guanábana (soursop) juice in water. Maybe the best juice of my life. The lemonade coconut juice was also great. But that soursop wow.
