Chez Migu — Restaurant in Medellín

One of the few great french experiences in Medellin. The place is amazing, cozy, makes you feel in a little corner of France. The staff is really helpful and kind. Regarding the menu, I see a lot of complaints regarding how small it is… I guess it’s because we here are used to large menus; but in my opinion, nothing beats a small menu with the options being very strong. To me it was perfect and I enjoyed more the small menu. The food was at the time great, we enjoyed it a lot.

There’s one really important thing. It is located just in front of a cocktail bar, and during the weekend nights the music is way too loud, which actually disturbs the atmosphere and makes it difficult to chat with the people...

I reserved with 2 days advancement for group of 3 and was informed 7 hours before we supposed to dine there that they are cancelling my reservation due to events, so be careful if you are planning to celebrate small group special moment here, you might end up in my situation. they prefer money then credibility and professionalism. They apologise by saying come tomorrow and we offer you cup of wine, as if our life has to be rescheduled on their terms and my time and frustration is the same price of a cup of wine. Delicious french food! For appetizers We had the steak tartar, the brie cheese with honey and nuts and the onion soup. For mains we tried the encostrado de la Maison and the entrecote de la maison , both beef protein, and both were very good! We tried house wine which was a Good pairing with the steaks. They have a large selection. Service was excellent, the ambiance was beautiful and cozy, a very romantic place for dates too!
