BAZA food bar & good vibes — Restaurant in Grad Split

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bazza Food Bar in Split, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The restaurant had a cozy and inviting atmosphere, and the service provided by the waitstaff was exceptional. In particular, I would like to highlight the two amazing waitresses, Laura and Marta, who made our visit even more memorable with their attentiveness and friendly demeanor.

When it came to the food, we opted for a plate with noodles, meat, and vegetables, as well as a plate with calamari and gnocchi. Both dishes were absolute delights. The noodles were perfectly cooked and paired beautifully with the tender and flavorful meat and vegetables. The plate with calamari and gnocchi was a true standout, with the calamari being cooked to perfection, tender and succulent, and the gnocchi complementing it perfectly.

The attention to detail in the presentation of the dishes was evident, and the flavors were outstanding. Each bite was a delightful explosion of tastes and textures. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring that we left the restaurant feeling satisfied...

Unfortunately this place left us extremely dissapointed. The drinks were overly sweet, literally tasted like liquid sugar. We had trouble finishing the cocktails and that's saying a lot from us. The starters (tacos & rice balls) were okay, but nothing special and even the tacos were a bit sweet in a weird way (which seemed to be a running theme of this restaurant). Our mains (beetroot risotto and octopus stew) were tolerable but didn't make an impression, especially the risotto was (once again) super super sweet. Honestly we felt a bit gross after eating and drinking so much sweet. The staff was very nice and polite, but we had made a reservation beforehand and when we arrived they said they "missed the reservation" but luckily had a table free for us, which felt a bit weird. Air con could be better inside the restaurant but other than that the vibe and decor was nice. This place had gotten really good reviews so we were sad to be dissapointed, would not reccommend especially...

Service was great, the ladies were very nice and helpful, going to the kitchen and asking the cook some of the questions we had. Personally we might be fussy, being italian my pasta cannot be overcooked, and it was, also i ordered seafood pasta and the seafood was rubbery which means that it was frozen. I also had to peel the shrimps, which made the dish cold (and that might have also overcooked the pasta as it was in a broth). I had ordered the vegetarian/vegan dishes but being early in the season they did not have them which was disappointing as they looked delicious. We also ordered a BLT and a burger. The actual paddy was tasteless, maybe a lack of seasoning. Accordingly all one could taste was cucumbers and the garnish. The fries were good (I can vouch for that). The BLT was and I quote 'nothing to write home about'. ...
