NoStress bistro — Restaurant in Grad Split

My Croatian friend recommended this restaurant to me and it was soooo good! I had a seasonal salad, the sea bass and the traditional cream cake dessert, creamschnite . They also gave a little fish pate starter from the chef. The bread was incredible!... Fresh and homemade nutty bread. The regional white wine that my waiter recommended was divine. The service was great, my waiter was so nice, fast and attentive, great menu selection, great prices and beautiful outdoor seating area in the main square. They are all so nice and really make you feel welcome! Great time, great meal! I highly recommend!

I just came back again during my short layover between the bus and ferry. All I could think about was the creamschnite during my stay up north. The restaurant was busy, but they served me lunch and my delicious dessert in less than an hour. The outdoor misters feel great...

We went here due to the good reviews but once we ate the food were left confused what people were writing good reviews for. The bread was VERY strange and we each took one bite and couldn’t continue, the mussels had no flavor, no garlic, no salt or seasoning, the pasta pomodoro tasted like American spaghettio’s in a sweet canned like sauce. The gnocchi and beef dish our server said was “VERY VERY VERY GOOD” was disgusting, the gnocchi was hard and chewy, and the beef was so tough it was like biting into rubber tires. We barely ate anything, but couldn’t bare to tell them, we don’t like their dishes they were so proud of. Very kind servers, great atmosphere, live band. I feel like maybe Croatian food is just not….. good? I’ve been all over the world and have never struggled this hard to find...

Summary: food 2/5 , Price for what I got 1/5 Scenery 4/5, service 3/5 Okay, so the place itself is pretty nice but the food itself is a disaster, I started with some homemade bread and butter, the bread was okay but I had to ask for the butter even thou it was in the menu. I had the tagatelli rugo something for main Course and the meat in it I can swear came from can food, the pasta itself was okay but it was drenching in what I guess was the filling sauce from the can.
