We went for the brunch option and brought friends with us, after a great first experience in the restaurant. Unfortunately our expectations were not met this time. The cost of the brunch does not reflect the value and service we received. The atmosphere was nice as the layout of the restaurant and garden is great, but it was a bit too crowded and noisy for us. We were expecting a more intimate and airy setting. The food was ok - nothing outstanding or amazing. The lasagna was pretty dry and lacking proper filling, the sweets were very nice looking but lacking flavor and depth. But the real challenge was that we had to 'fight' for the attention of the waiters to get our glasses filled and the order ready. We had to wait 15 minutes for a lemonade and we always had to ask for something. For such a location and prices, we would expect our glasses to be always filled and to be taken care of much much better. I am not sure what happened but now we are concerned about going back . We do not want a similar experience...
Read moreEven the entrance to the area of Augustine hotel is very pleasent and authentic. Nice small square, where you can straightly saw the Augustine restaurant. If you want to really enjoy some nice brunch and really amazing atmosphere. I would recommend Augustine restuarant. With the TOP service and staff. Appreciate how they were communicative, and how they handled the baby customers also, always smiling and trying to be in contact all the time of your stay there. Food was really delicious, tried almost all of them, imagine fresh seafood on ice, starting with oysters. Then some nice medium rare beef picanha, and finishing with amazing on view, much more better to taste desserts, from Hungarian pastry chef. And I can continue how great it was, on top of it you can get unlimited champagne in your brunch package. Put all of these together, plus a live music and your Sunday is like...
Read moreIn comparison with other buffet brunches in Prague, Augustine's pales in comparison. Absolutely mediocre quality of food and very limited food selection invite us never to go back. Yes, service is very nice although some professionalism is lacking - you don't bring water with gas in a bottle without a lid. We tried almost all buffet items and the conclusion is inescapable - the intent is to maximise profitability by cutting costs with buying mass produced food items from some catering company but increase attractiveness of the place by deceiving advertising that creates an upscale impression. How else can one interpret carrots or smoked salmon that are devoid of any taste or cheesecake that tastes like moist paper? We expected much more out of the place and were highly dissapointed....
