Las Adelitas (Lucemburská) — Restaurant in Prague

We got the most disgusting attitude from the manager of the bar and were demanded to pay for drinks we did not order. We hoped to make this place our "go to bar" and hang out there often but we will never return to that place. There is a much nicer mexican restaurant near by. Why: A nice bartender made an honest mistake and gave us 2 drinks we did not order. Because we were sitting on the bar and were exhausted from moving boxes all day (as we told him we just moved in near by, that same day) we thought he wanted to be nice to us and that the drinks are on the house. A minute later, after already taking a few zips he realized he made a mistake and asked us if we still wanted the drinks. We said no but that we already drank from them and he left them for us. In the end we saw that we were charged for the drinks. The bartender's boss said that we have to pay because we had the drinks. Even after explaining the situation to her she wasn't satisfied and demanded us to pay in the most rude and discusting way. When we told her we have no intention of doing so she said very aggressively that if we don't pay the bartender will pay and sarcastically told us to enjoy ourselves. Shocked from the situation we decided split it with the bartender and pay for one of the 2 drinks. This could have ended much differently. Too bad she decided to go...

The first time I tried Las Adelitas was somewhen in September 2011, got amazed back then and still amazed today, so whenever I'm in Prague I try to make a stop in any of their branches (which is nice to see them growing the business to 6 of them!). Tasty & very close to the authentic taste like in Mexico (considering the availability of fresh produce, variety of products and other factors in CZ vs MX), amazing mixology with top quality Mexican alcohol, friendly staff (our waiter today was top, cheers Parce), the background music was the perfect balance between regulated volume to have a conversation and the nostalgia of top Mexican music to song along. Ambiance/ Deco is just perfect.

Thank you Las Adelitas staff for making me feel like at home through your food, your drinks, the playlist, the ambiance and the friendly staff!! See you guys soon :)

Ps. I'd love to give 5 stars but I have to make a few remarks:

As for the chilaquiles as I did miss having the chicken in the pulled version rather than in pieces. Also, I missed the cream on the taquitos dorados.

Would love to have the aguas frescas from the natural ingredients: limones, tamarind or hibiscus and...

I am sorry to write this but I am extremely disappointed by the service tonight. We were having drinks and food and at one point the waitress kept coming over and over and asking if we want anything else. We ordered more but we felt very pushed. It continued even when we were still drinking our second drinks. It was not a kind question but it was obvious she wanted us to order more and was angry when we did not. In the end, another waitress came and asked us if she can take our unfinished drinks away. After another same question, we said we wanted to pay and she asked us to come to the desk. We were still chatting and she came back and asked “if she can ask us to pay”. It was very, very rude and after this she even asked for a 10% tip. We were sitting downstairs and were not blocking any potential customers and it was still 35 min before closing. I go to this restaurant very often, the food is great and so far the experience was always very nice but tonight the service was more than inappropriate and it ruined the whole experience.
