Big disappointment – an experience we won’t repeat Our visit to your café yesterday was a real disappointment. I was there with my family after a lovely walk, looking forward to some sweet treats, a good coffee, and a relaxing break. From the outside, the café looks nice, but unfortunately, that’s where the positives end.We first sat outside, but after waiting quite a long time without being noticed, we moved indoors. Inside, it wasn’t much better. One waiter was standing behind the register, another chatting with him, and the third was nowhere to be seen. Eventually, I had to get up and ask if we could even place an order., after that, I didn’t even feel like ordering anything, but I gave it a chance, thinking maybe at least the desserts and coffee would be worth it. Unfortunately, they weren’t. The staff was indifferent and uninterested in the guests. Coffee was served without milk, with just one sugar cube. We had to get up again and ask for milk – literally begging for basic service. The desserts? Typical thawed pre-made cakes – the Sacher cake for 200 CZK felt like a joke. Even worse were the apricot dumplings – reheated in the microwave, served with plain, tasteless curd straight out of the tub, no sugar, no flavor. A sprinkle of poppy seeds didn’t help. I left the food barely touched – it was embarrassing. We paid for everything, though it wasn’t worth it at all, and left. Never again.Maybe you’re doing fine just because tourists stop by – but if they leave unhappy, it reflects badly on the business. If someone decides to run a café, they should care about the customers, not just try to make money quickly. Staff should be friendly and welcoming. That’s what makes people want to come back – and tip well. Sadly, we’re one of those who won’t be returning.
Trocha máku to opravdu nezachrání. Jinak se lidé nevracejí – a bohužel my...
Read moreThe location is only thing that could be worth visiting here. Or may be like me who was cold after a rainy day and wanted to sit and have a warm beverage in a seemingly busy and upscale place. The prices are comparable with upscale place but unfortunately the service or the food were absolutely not. They don't have oat milk or soy milk or any other lactose free alternative to normal milk. I got an "English Tea" which was just a sad tea bag with warm water for 4€. The staff was hurrying us off by continuously coming to our table to pick things up. next time I would rather freeze than...
Read moreLocation is the only thing that’s good about this place; it’s inside the castle garden so once you’re tired of all the walking and all the stairs, it’s nice to sit and have some food but the staff is awful. They were making fun of people/their orders, terrible attitude. I ordered schnitzel which came with fries and they asked if I wanted mayo or ketchup, I only later found out that there was an extra charge for the condiment. I only visited because I had to use the toilet and I didn’t have cash with me to pay at the Prague castle one, hence the restaurant. Not worth it, not...
