Our stay at MOOo by the Castle was absolutely wonderful! Communication in advance was very friendly, straightforward, and helpful – and we received the same warm welcome upon arrival.
The apartment immediately impressed us: very spacious for two people, tastefully decorated, and with a great eye for detail. Everything felt harmonious and well maintained. The funny cow-themed pictures added a charming and humorous touch. We were welcomed with a bottle of sparkling wine and a sweet handwritten card – such a thoughtful gesture that made our arrival extra special.
The apartment was well equipped, ideal for preparing simple meals – even though we didn’t use the kitchen much, since we mostly ate out. Still, everything looked of high quality and well cared for. And if anything had been missing, we’re sure the lovely hosts would have helped right away.
The bathroom was modern and spacious, with a generous shower and great-smelling shampoo and shower gel. Two easily operated air conditioners made the warm summer days very comfortable. We also really enjoyed the little sitting area in front of our apartment – with a table and two chairs, perfect for spending quiet evenings while watching the peaceful courtyard. Even the occasional rehearsal at the small puppet theater nearby wasn’t disturbing – it added to the charm of the atmosphere.
The location is fantastic: the famous Prague Castle is less than 8 minutes away on foot, and the Charles Bridge just about 15. Great cafés, restaurants, bistros, and bars are all close by – and if you need a recommendation, the team is always happy to help.
A big plus: you can reach the reception via WhatsApp. If you need anything or just have a quick question, you can simply send a message – and your request will be taken care of immediately. Even surprises like a bouquet of flowers for your partner 😉 are easily arranged through the reception.
All in all, a beautiful and peaceful place to stay, with truly wonderful hosts. If you’re looking for a quiet, stylish, and well-located apartment in Prague, away from the busy tourist crowds – this is the one. Highly...
Read moreEdited after the owner’s reply: The manager later admitted to having “one attempted call record” from my friend and me in her respond to our review, despite previously insisting she had not received any calls and even showing us her record to our face in the second day morning to support that claim. This suggests that she may have altered her statement, or it prompts consideration of whether she was entirely truthful initially and sought to place responsibility on the clients. I won’t elaborate further, but I strongly advise against staying at this place. It feels deceptive and untrustworthy.

Terrible experience – disrespectful management and dishonest practices
We had a horrible experience at Mooo by the Castle. There was no one at reception when we arrived around 7:30 PM, which apparently is “normal” according to them, but they don’t give any warning about this. The sign outside said someone would be available 24/7 if we called, but despite multiple attempts, no one picked up. We were locked out and had to spend hundreds of dollars booking a last-minute hotel for the night.
When we came back the next day to request compensation, the manager was completely disrespectful. She outright lied, claiming they never received our calls, even though we showed her the call records. She kept blaming us for not calling multiple times, saying it was “common sense” in Europe to keep trying until someone answers. Frankly, her idea of “common sense” doesn’t make sense at all, especially when their own sign promises someone will answer the phone.
After a frustrating discussion, she reluctantly agreed to refund half of the first night. However, once we left, we never received the refund and were still charged the full amount. This place is a scam, and the way we were treated was appalling. Avoid...
Read moreReview is late as we stayed back in March, however we still think about this wonderful hotel!!! Not only is the atmosphere SUPER unique and luxurious feeling, it also feels very cozy and home-like. We originally booked 2 nights and ended up extending our stay for a week because we loved it so much (Not peak tourist season). The rooms are spacious and immaculately cleaned on the daily, comfortable beds, the kitchenette was perfect- even has a dishwasher! The rooms seriously have everything you could need! They thought of everything!
This place is unique and one of a kind- the architecture, the art, even the restaurant/bar below is also super interesting (potion drinks- I mean come on!) The rooms are sound proof as well, there was a singing event below one night at the restaurant and with the doors closed it was silent.
The location is magical, especially at night when the streets are empty of tourists, you literally feel like you are in a fairytale. It is a super safe area of the city because there are many embassies in the area-Lots of security around and is steps from the castle grounds.
The managers and staff are wonderful, sweet and helpful, they recommend many fun things to do that as a tourist you might have missed. There were so many little details such as the bottle of Prosecco upon arrival, cute cow postcards in reception, and handwritten notes from staff members. Wow, I could go on! If you want to ensure a magical trip to...
