U Sudu Wine Bar — Restaurant in Prague

The place is really unique consisting on an underground bar with several desks at which you can order different drinks, I would definitely recommend it even just for the fun of exploring all if it. The drinks are good and absolutely cheap. Most waiters looked alright, a couple of girls actually smiling 😱👍🏻😄😄😄 well done! It is really unfortunate that one of the bartenders couldn't really squeeze out a smile even though I tried my best to make him feel comfortable, cuddle him, I should have brought a blanket maybe, definitely he had not been loved by his parents when he was a child. Not speaking English is fine, being rude for ABSOLUTELY NO REASON is like .. really weird?? Me and my girlfriend were really surprised, almost amused by his pouty, childish behaviour to the point that he became one of the key, fun features of the place and will forever be an inside joke of ours .. like ... Where else would this guy be able to survive in this society and have a salary?? 🤣 Oh they didn't take card at that desk so ... Bring your money or be ready to pay in nature to the weird guy. Ehm .. 😅🤣 Just visit this place, have fun and ignore the grumpy...

Let me preface by saying that our time here was partly enjoyable. The opening bartender upstairs was amazing. We stayed until her shift was over and went downstairs to see the underground bar which initially attracted us. We migrated to this underground bar and upon sitting, we were told that the two seats we had chosen were reserved after which this bartender put a reserved placard in front of us. We politely moved only to find that minutes later, it was not reserved as multiple people sat in the stools that we had initially chosen. This bartender’s attitude was just as appalling as her dental situation. I know this sounds horrible to say about someone but it is nothing in comparison to what our mouths were subjected to. I have worked in breweries. I know what good beer tastes like in clean lines. We ordered two pilsners and they were the most moldy, putrid pours I have ever had from any establishment in my life. Horrible aftertaste with a moldy nose. Needless to say, we did not finish our beers and left after shots as it seemed like the most beneficial choice for our health’s sake and to help in erasing the memory of...

So, I've been to this place quite a few times with groups from Downtown hostel each time I've visited Prague so I thought I'd take girlfriend here when showing her around this great city. It's a unique bar with labrynth of underground rooms... And I took her down to deepest underground bar. Guy working behind bar with face covered in tattoos was chatting to several other Czech friends whilst serving. When I asked him if they took card payments he said in absolutely perfect English "... Im sorry... I don't speak any English... " which his friends all started laughing loudly about - including table behind me. I don't mind a bit of humour at my expense but when he just carried on as I waited for a response it was clear he was deliberately ignoring me. Really disappointing to get treated like this and not a good impression for my girlfriend of the warm welcome I've always been used to from Czech ...
