Gallery Café — Restaurant in Prague

Where to start? Avoid this place like the plague, although I suspect catching the plague would have been a more delightful experience. The 2 "Witches of Eastwick" serving have about as much charm and charisma as the suits of armour in the near by castle. The only warm greating we received was from radiator by the window (the 1 star rating was for him) In between munching on handfuls of crisps the pair couldn't manage a smile, thank you or even a hello. They don't have a card machine and when you then produce a note to pay with you receive a look which would have turned the milk sour.....that is of course if they had bothered to provide us with any. 2 further customers with food allergies were treated like lepers and took their lives in their own hands by asking...

We have visited this cafe last week, it was sunny outside so we decided to take our coffee and cakes out, but we were told the garden is closed so all have to be in plastic so we have ended up eating cake by ridicilliously small spoons, coffee was really bad and the cake tasted like two days old. They have no clue of what is customer service and how to behave, they were rude, grumpy, gossiping about others in front of us and clearly not happy to have some customers at all. Hopefully the owner will read all these negative comments........ as this is our second time in this place and again with negative experience. Deceitful signage at the entrance, led to confusion about where the actual establishment was (we ended up purchasing drinks from another cafe on the stairs up to the terrace).

When it became apparent we'd bought drinks from the wrong establishment, we asked to rectify the situation by purchasing food and further drinks from the gallery cafe (that we originally intended visit), we were rudely told we were unwelcome.

The temerity of the cafe staff to turn down our custom, in spite of being two of only four people at the cafe was startling, and completely ruined our visit to Prague castle. Terrible and uncompassionate...
