I first visited Indian by Nature in May 2013 on the recommendation of a friend, as I have been searching for a really good indian place in Prague for some time without having found one. I was positively surprised by it and have returned several times. First, the venue as such has a warm, modern and stylish design, unlike many other Asian restaurants in Prague, which tend to have a very simple and rudimentary style. I felt at ease right away. The service is fast and friendly. I have ordered my standard dish: Chicken korma, rice and garlic naan. I am pleased to report that it has been delicious on all occasions! The korma has a bit more character than I am used to, and I really liked it. It also feels less heavy/fat than in many other places, which I appreciate. The nan has just the right texture, and was served warm (generously, three slices). The price level, for this quality of food, is very reasonable: 350 czk in total. Furthermore, the rest room is modern and fresh. I am very satisfied indeed and will continue to return. The only possible drawback is the dark streets if one comes walking from the Husitská side: then maybe I would recommend a taxi. This should be less of a problem if one comes from the Florenc side. In all: a great Indian which I...
Read moreHeads up: Don’t get biased by 4+ review score... (I was misled by review score too). The place could blow hot and cold. Much of review score has come for Lunch buffet service, I would assume... Service: Hot and cold again! For 5 guests, we were initially offered a table of 4! When we asked if they could add a chair to the table they offered, the response was one of us need to sit in the table nearby. When we asked, if we could split 3 & 2 per table, the reply was blunt “no”! Finally, our persistence earned us a table for 5... Sitting just opposite to a big photo of Mahatma Gandhi. My first thought was wow, just a moment later I realized how stupid of someone to hang his picture in a bar, unless it was meant as an insult. Food: prices for a la carte was a bit on the higher side when you compare for the quality and the quantity... overall the taste was good though! Only reason for me to give 3-star instead something below, is that the other guy who did serve...
Read moreWhether it sounds like an exaggeration to you or not, I truly mean it when I say - this was the best dining experience of my life. The staff was extremely attentive, respectful, and should take pride in their service. The food was beyond exceptional and perfectly portioned; from appetizers, to main dishes, to the desserts. A beautiful hand-painted mural, amazing hand-stitched embroidered table cloths, and potted plants kept the ambience on point. The prices are great for the value afforded. This restaurant's attention to detail and commitment to your experience will make your time in Prague incomplete if you fail to dine here. Seriously. This restaurant made me find religion again because of the praise it deserves. A portrait of Ghandi is even on one wall. The napkins smelled like fennel! The most disappointing part was that the toothpicks delivered following the meal didn't also smell like fennel. Go. Dine here. You will not be...
