Just Croissant - Brunch - Café - Prosecco — Restaurant in Prague

Very disappointing. Me and my friend came for brunch yesterday around 1pm, never tried this place before but apparently there were good reviews (mostly from influencers by the way). We ordered waffles and croissant with avocado/egg/bacon. The place was almost empty but we had to wait for food for around half an hour, apparently they had problems with waffle machine but didn’t bother to tell us or suggest an alternative. As far as I understood, food for prepared by the waitress herself, the quality of the meal was terrible - something you can make yourself at home in a rush, but not what you expect from a brunch place in Vinohrady. Was not impressed by either waffles or croissant. Both were quite plain, very poorly served. The only good thing is big size of portions but it doesn’t matter if the food doesn’t taste nice anyway. Cherry on top was paying the bill - the staff suggested the discount for the long wait but then suddenly started changing the final price we should pay (first it was 190kc, then 390kc as the first one was “a mistake”). The final discount amount in question was 40kc, ridiculous.

Overall, it was the waste of time and money. There are many way better brunch places in the area, I wouldn’t recommend anybody to go here unless you want some coffee and cold pastry to go. We came in a group of 9 peoples. We get really a place to seat very quickly. This was a good services. But the problem was, that we get our coffee before our meal. The time difference between we getting our meal and the coffee was too much. We wanted to drink our coffee with our bread, but until we get it our coffee was already too cold. Another thing that I want to mention is that the salmon salad is shown with quinoa inside but our order came without. This was really disappointing. Due to that I ordered bread which was a half bread and for that she wanted more money after I asked here how much it would she just said “we will look later” what is this for an answer ? Sorry but when she don’t know how much I have to Pay more, then she can’t say that she would more money for that. Don’t want to forget: the eggs were too cold.

So finally I can say that the menu was good but in my opinion the service was rally unhappy and has no fun at this job. I can say that you make your own opinion but I would never come here again. - mainly because of the service NOT because...

We don’t know how the food is because we just stood up and left. We arrived and the lady there asked us if we wanted to sit which we did and she brought us the menu. We decided immediately but the lady instead of taking out order, took the order of all the people that were coming for take away after us, as result the pastries we wanted were gone. I’ve never experience a situation were the people which are sitting are served as last. Consider that the place is very small so not many people fit there, on top of that everyone was already eating so she was supposed to take our order only.
