We were visiting Prague from Canada and happened to walk into this restaurant by chance, knowing nothing about it. And wow—what a wonderful surprise it turned out to be! From the food to the service to the cozy atmosphere, everything was absolutely delightful. The kind couple who owns the restaurant were so welcoming, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to making sure we had the best possible experience. Their warmth and hospitality truly made our visit special! We ordered a veggie pizza and a burrata salad to share, followed by a slice of medovnik cake—and everything was incredible. The ingredients were fresh, the flavors were rich, and it was clear that everything was made with care and love. The pizza was spectacular, the burrata salad came in a generous portion, and the medovnik cake had the perfect balance—not too sweet, just right. Since we arrived close to closing time, we had the chance to chat with the lovely owners, and it was such a joy. They have the kindest hearts and the most genuine passion for what they do. We truly hope their business continues to thrive—they absolutely deserve it for all the love, time, and effort they put into every detail. If you’re in Prague, don’t miss this hidden gem. Go visit them, you’ll be...
Read moreI got a recommendation from a friend to come visit the place. At first we arrived at a quiet, small Italian restaurant with about 3 tables of people and I wondered to myself - Is this really the place? But we trusted the process and I'm so glad we did. We ordered a chardonnay white wine which was great and did the job ;) Every dish was perfectly sized and worth the price. For starters, we had a ceaser salad and beef carpaccio. Each of them was great, not overly dressed and super fresh. For pizza, we got one of the specials, with spinach, prosciutto and various cheeses. The pizza was A M A Z I NG ! We had a lot of fun eating it. We also ordered the spinach creamed pasta. Personally, I think that it is the best pasta I ate in my life. The tastes were super accurate and I enjoyed every bite. For conclusion - I think this is one of the places that are super special and you really get the value for your money. The staff were so humble and nice. Sometimes, the small and quiet places are the most authentic and high...
Read moreTerrible, avoid. Came there during the lunch time (before I also called to make sure they have lunch menu, so it'll be quick). Lunch menu wasn't there, so we ordered from regular menu. Drinks came quite fast, but Birell was warm. Spend there 30 min, asked waitress, when meals will be ready, at least they could have brought soups. She wasn't able to answer, was just shrugging shoulders, we waited another 5 min, then she told, that will ask at the kitchen, but it wasn't really clear, when it can be ready. Seemed, that she never sent our order to kitchen..after she told, that their chef wasn't there and just came (12:30). Hygienic standards are also pretty low, waitress didn't even wipe our table after previous visitors, pizza guy was mopping around between pizzas, so everything was smelling with chlorine while people were eating. Maybe it was actually good luck, that at the end we left and...
