🌸 Probably the best Japanese restaurant in Prague. Miyabi is a true hidden gem, the kind of place you hesitate to share because it's THAT good. The Sushi is world-class, with every piece crafted like a miniature work of art. The Chef is simply exceptional, you can feel the discipline and precision in every bite.
The staff are warm, incredibly attentive, and make you feel like an honored guest from the moment you walk in. The food quality is unmatched, from delicate Sashimi to rich Miso, everything is prepared with care and respect for tradition.
The menu is diverse and beautifully curated, offering not just sushi but a wide selection of dishes and drinks — including excellent Sake wine. They also offer pre-planned course menus, which speaks volumes about the level and refinement of the restaurant itself.
The ambiance? Flawless. Whether you're dining in the elegant main room or experiencing the quiet serenity of the tatami-style private seating, the space radiates calm and refined Japanese aesthetics. Every detail - from flower arrangements to handmade wooden dolls — adds to the charm.
Even the delivery service is top-notch: punctual, well-packaged, and just as beautifully presented.

Read moreEverything was wrong from the beginning. Restaurant presents itself as Japanese authentic, but reality, it is not any close to true. During the evening the waitress was unable to recommend anything, she never asked anything nor offer anything “just food messenger”. She had no clue what is on the menu, instead she gave us the book of pictures to choose what we want to order. How can someone employ waitress like this? Waiting time: we placed the order at the same time as other table of 2 people and were waiting over an hour, but the other table got it in 20-30min. Taste of the sushi is absolutely not fresh as they present. The taste is exactly the same as sushi boxes from supermarket just 4x more expensive. Philadelphia cheese was tasting like "Lucinka from can" without additional seasoning - simply making it for fine dining rather than just cheese on fish. The most unacceptable and frustrating was the bone I had in nigiri sushi caused me bleeding from gum (see in picture). We have eaten possibly half of it and yet were asked to pay it although with some discount and deducted cost for one of the set where there was the bone. I said to my wife screw it and never come back again. My personal recommendation never ever visit this restaurant, there are far better...
Read moreLook, I too have eaten Penn Station sushi and enjoyed it, because I knew what it was and it served its purpose for the time and place.
However, the cardinal sin in my book of sushi is cheese. Any cheese, though cream cheese is the worst of these, in my opinion. Cheese of any sort does not belong on fish (with the possible exception of tacos Ensenada), certainly not on/with raw fish.
In the mood for sushi, I looked through the menus of sushi joints in Prague. This was the only moderately-priced (or cheaper) place that I could find that did not have lots (or any, for that matter) cheese on the menu.
We got a wide mix of things: agedashi tofu, sashimi, the poached duck and eggplant entrée, the award-winning beer-soaked tuna nigiri, tempura, etc etc.
It was...good. Not great, certainly not fantastic...but it was good. And there was no cheese. And it was less than $40pp w/o alcohol. I'm going to...
