A friend from Prague warned me that hoping to find a good trdelník for a reasonable price is foolish. This place was the only one where I tried trdelník, because I still wanted to give it a go. I chose it because the place was full of people, and they had just made a fresh batch of sugary cones.

I’d say the cone itself was decent — crunchy and soft at the same time — and the crunchy sugar coating was quite addictive. I went for the Magic Apple flavor, since strawberries aren’t in season in October (and I assumed that the one they were offering were tasteless). The cream topping was okay; it didn’t taste terrible, but it also wasn’t freshly made, so nothing special. The apple filling could’ve used more apples and less sugar.

I paid 170 czk (7€) and it was too big and too sweet, so I ate only half of it. It could easily be half the size for half the price (in that case would be worth trying).

Honestly, all the apple strudels I had for way less money were a much better experience — and much tastier — than this trdelník. So overall, I’d say: listen to my friend and buy something...

We, a group of four people, were here to eat that famous pastry, Trdlo, last week. The shop is in a good location and many people waiting to take one pastry. We got four Trdlos. I tried the apple filling one that tasted flavourless. It was very sweet and it topped with flattish cream. Unfortunately, this pastry looks much better than it tastes. My friends took the one with strawberry filling. One of our friends, a food engineer, realized that the strawberry used in the filling smelled bad and most probably it was spoilt. We went back to the shop to warn them kindly about the strawberry. But the workers were very rude and told us that all Turkish people do the same thing. And they want us to take our bags and go out of the shop. We didn't understand this hostile fascistic act. They were very biased, and they didn't even listen to us. By the way, all the workers look unhappy. Please be careful about this shop and I can assure you can eat the same pastry with much better taste in...

It was the WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. I had a very nice evening with my girlfriend and we wanted to have a nice traditional dessert. When we came there, the personnel didn’t show any sign of being alive and close to enjoyable. After we ordered, the woman COMMANDED me TWICE to give her a tip!!!!!!!!!!!!! I gave her a coin out of a reflex, no thank you or close to a smile and we left sour and without anything close to a smile or a good experience. We didn’t even want to taste the desert anymore and spent the whole walk over the bridge not in love anymore but just sad and sour. Talking about how TERRIBLE the costumer service was. The food was MEH but that was mostly because of the GRUMPY OLD PERSONAL that work there. You DONT ASK for a TIP and especially not COMMAND IT!!! I NEVER leave a review because even if it’s bad not anyone has to know. BUT this EXPERIENCE was UN ACC EP TA BLE!!!! If I could not leave a star I WOULD...

I got the sausage, which had chunks of sausage, bacon bits and a Czech Cole slaw. The best part was the Cole slaw which was not a complaint the slaw was delicious, at every bite of it. My wife had the ice cream, chocolate shavings (which was Nutella) and raspberry, she at all the filling but tossed the crust. This is a busy spot along the Charles Bridge footpath, so I would not expect any greeting or small niceties from the staff as others have complained about their reviews, the place is busy!

*** Most Recommended***. If you have come to Prague, you must try this special snacks called TRDLO. This shop is at the end of Charles Bridge and is quite famous. There are other TRDLO shops as well but this is the one you would be looking for. It has many varieties. This is basically a soft dough baked to make it a slightly crunchier outside and is filled with your favourite combination of fruits, cream and chocolate inside. Its costs around 100-160 krona.
