On our first trip to Prague we stayed at Hotel Pod Vezi, which means “below the tower”. The tower being the one at the Malá Strana side of the famous Charles Bridge. We couldn't have asked for a better location. We walked everywhere. The only time we used the tram was to go up to Prague Castle as it was rainy. We did walk back down tho.

Prague is absolutely beautiful. Clean, easy to get around and the people friendly. Our stay at Pod Vezi really added to our stay. We had a suite, very large room with separate sitting room with a couch and desk. The main room had a very large king bed, a small vanity, with a upholstered stool and a cocktail table with two more chairs. It also had a stocked mini bar (fair prices), Nespresso maker, cups, saucers, real spoons and the best hotel coffee (pods for the nespresso) that I ever had. They also had liquid creamers and not that powdered cream junk!

The staff was especially nice, especially Tomas, Alis (not sure of his spelling, very tall gentleman from Slovakia) and Honza. They also had a large complimentary bottle of water, a small box of fancy chocolates and a bottle of sanitizer. There were also little chocolates on our nightstand- replenished every night! Our second day we returned to our room to find a lovely fridge magnet, with a thank you note and on our last evening they stopped by with a small bottle of champagne!

The room includes an excellent full breakfast at the attached restaurant, which was abundant and all delicious! A huge variety, fruit, eggs, meat, sweets, just about everything you would ever want. You also get 10% off their lunch and dinner menu. We had dinner there our first night and that too was delicious.

The hotel also provides free passes to climb the tower, which provided a real great view. We also purchased tram tickets right from the front desk, which was very convenient. Finally we had a early departure and they packed us sandwiches, an apple, a granola bar and a bottle of water to take with us.

Our stay could not have been any better! Room, location, amenities, food, but...

A Perfect Stay at Hotel Pod Vezi – Thoughtful Luxury in the Heart of Prague

From the moment we arrived at Hotel Pod Vezi, we were blown away by the warmth and professionalism of the staff. The service was impeccable from start to finish—every interaction felt genuine, attentive, and tailored to make our stay unforgettable.

Our room was absolutely stunning: beautifully updated, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully designed with every detail considered for guest comfort. From the plush bedding to the smart layout and amenities, it was clear that nothing had been overlooked. It truly felt like a home away from home.

The 24-hour reception was a huge plus, offering peace of mind and convenience no matter the hour. We especially loved the rooftop terrace—a serene spot to unwind with a view, perfect for a quiet moment after exploring the city.

Breakfast each morning was a delight, with a generous and varied selection that catered to all tastes. Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented—it was the perfect way to start the day.

A special shout-out to Radak, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. His local recommendations were spot-on, and his thoughtful touches added so much warmth to our experience. Thanks to him, we discovered hidden gems and felt truly welcomed in Prague.

Hotel Pod Vezi exceeded all expectations. If you're looking for a place that combines charm, comfort, and exceptional service, look no further. We can't...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Pod Vezi and I must say, it exceeded all of my expectations. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm welcome from the friendly staff who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable.

The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect - situated in the heart of the city just by Charles Bridge, I was able to easily access all of the popular attractions, sights and restaurants. The convenience of being able to walk everywhere was a huge plus for us.

But what truly set this hotel apart was the exceptional service provided by the staff. Not only were they always ready to assist with any requests or questions, but they did so with genuine smiles and a positive attitude. It was clear that they truly cared about their guests' satisfaction and went out of their way to ensure we had a great experience.

My only negative about the hotel was the size of the plates at breakfast time - they are far too small and you can barely fit your breakfast on them! There isn't enough seating at breakfast time either - I feel this needs to be addressed.

Overall however, my stay at Hotel Pod Vezi was nothing short of fantastic. The combination of excellent service, prime location, and comfortable accommodations made for a truly memorable stay. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a top-notch experience at a very...

We booked this hotel based on reviews and it did not disappoint! The location is ideal, on the Lesser Side (Mala Strana), which means also less crowded. However, it's an easy walk (10 minutes) across the Charles Bridge to the more touristy (and very crowded) part of Prague. Our room was perfect- large, comfortable, and on the second floor, looking right up at the tower- and the breakfast buffet was terrific. There was some construction on the road right below our window but likely completed by now. The hotel staff was very friendly, professional, and helpful in many ways including directions to nearby attractions, change for smaller euros, and arranging a ride to and from the train station for 15 euros. The hotel restaurant was also a perfect place to have dinner after a long day out exploring and seeing the sights (2 photos- farro salad with ham, and chicken dumpling soup). Also, there are plenty of great places to eat (photo of Chimney cake), all within a 5-10 minute walk (as we discovered after taking the Secret Food Tour of Mala Strana). If you are looking for a really good cup of coffee, The Miner, a premium specialty coffee shop, is just a 1 minute walk. Overall it was the perfect stay for our 4 day experience in Prague. Highly recommended!!!

We all try to find fault with a hotel, I couldn't fault with anything here. Given the cost, this was superb value. Staff were patiently helpful. Our Annex room was spot on, everything and more in there for a comfy 5 night stay. It was warm in the room despite 0c outside. Every day something different on the room table to nibble. I rarely eat breakfast at home so for me the variety available was plentiful - including Prosecco . It was my wifes' birthday on our penultimate day, She had one card. The house keeping staff noticed it and that evening a bottle of bubbly was brought to our room. Totally unexpected - Thank you. Wifi was good but nothing of interest on the TV for UK visitors - I used live TV news on UTube , Netflix and Amazon Prime then cast to the TV if you want with your chromecast My Top Tip - take a 4 way or 6 way extension, then you only need one travel adaptor (see photo) I do this for UK hotels too There are plenty of photos loaded so I've only added a few. Should we return to Prague this Hotel would be my my choice
