It has been pointed out that, with almost 1300 check ins on Untapped, I must know something about beer and beer bars (or just have a problem). I have been waiting for Amager Bryghus to open a taproom in the city for some time, and the wait has paid off. There are a few reasons why the Amager Bryghus Taproom is different from most other craft beer bars in Copenhagen: it has mostly their own beers, which are mostly great; the prices are way more reasonable than most Mikkeller-owned bars (55 kr for a 40cl, as it should be; the imported stuff is more expensive); it has a very defined style in decor and music; the staff is generally super friendly. I for one, do like the occasional odd crowd, but here odd ones couldn’t be combined to make an even pair.

Small tasting glasses are offered for the beers to help you decide. I feel very comfortable in here, and it can fill up pretty quickly in the early evening.
