KOPAN Linnésgade — Restaurant in Copenhagen Municipality

This wasn't a great dinner, unfortunately. If you are coming for big, authentic Korean flavours, I would suggest going elsewhere.

The tofu japchae had very little taste. It also sits on a bed of rice, which further drowns the flavour. This isn't fusion, so it must simply be a cost-cutting exercise to save on the glass noodles and veg.

The same can be said for the bibimbap. Poorly seasoned. The bulgogi was so overcooked, it started to crumble. The condiments did all of the heavy lifting.

Even the fried chicken couldn't save the meal. The sauce had no body at all, it just pooled at the bottom. Worst of all, it had been in the deep fryer for too long the coating was burnt and was difficult to eat. Due to the amount of sugar used, it just seemed like I was eating honeycomb.

I always liked this place but there portion sizes have always been extremely small. The kimchi for 45kr is literally 2-3 spoonfuls. Same goes for their so called larger portions. They use a larger bowl for the larger meal but only fills it half. All that a side we always loved their Korean fried chicken (KFC)But when I last came to the restaurant last week they had without any indication on the menu or price reductions changed from boneless pieces of chicken to chicken wings. That is such a joke and taking the piss out of customers. I will unfortunately now have to vote with my feet and find a new Korean restaurant for my KFC. This restaurant has to take its cooking a bit...

One of my kimchi pancakes was burnt. The one that wasn't burnt was delicious! Why even serve something that is burnt? The dumplings weren't really crispy and were a bit lacklustre. The beef in the bulgogi was very much clumped together so it didn't have the incredible mouthfeel that this dish can have. I was never asked how I liked the food or if I needed something else (or if maybe something was overcooked or burnt!) even though for most of my time there I was one of only 2 customers in the restaurant.
