Andy's was once an iconic bar with lots of history and a mixed crowd of rowdy youngsters, artists, politicians, late night sailors and other distinguished guests. Not so much anymore, it has honestly lost a bit of its charm these past few years. Still, it's one of the few bars open until early morning and prices were decent last time I checked. My favourite bar in town ! It s open until 6am and there is always a good ambiance. The bartenders are super nice and always smiling and happy to talk with us :) The price are super reasonable (not crazy as it could be in other bars) . Baren var Gasolins stamværtshus. Billedet som hænger på væggen i Andys Bar, blev brugt som forsidecover på Gasolin tredje LP.

Ejeren af Andys Bar har fortalt, at da Gasolin skulle udgive deres tredje LP “Gas 3” manglede de et motiv til pladens forsidecover. En aften Gasserne sad på værthuset fik de øje på billedet, der hang på væggen i Andy Bar. De blev hurtigt enige om, at dette var det helt rette motiv til deres LP. Desværre vidste ejeren af Andys Bar ikke hvem der havde malet billedet, men Gasserne fik lov til at bruge motivet på deres LP.

Pladen blev hurtigt en stor succes og solgt over hele landet. Et stykke tid efter udgivelsen henvendte kunsteren sig til ejeren af Andys Bar, for at høre hvem der havde givet Gasserne lov til at bruge billedet på deres LP. Der blev hurtigt sat et møde i stand på værtshuset mellem Gasserne og personen, som have malet billedet. Gasserne ville gerne betale for rettigheden til at anvende billedet på deres LP, men da pladen allerede var udgivet, skulle ejeren komme med et bud på, hvad prisen skulle være.

Det kom til at koste Gasserne tre omgange guldøl...
