I can only echo the sentiment of the other reviews and approve that the dinner I had with my friend at Boutique Emilia was second to none. We shared the tasting menu, which was a great dining experience, but it was not just the food that won us over. The servers were attentive and made time for conversation, and the interior decoration consisted of a pleasant fusion of Danish and Italian design. It reminded me of the Sfoglia Rina, a well-known restaurant and fresh pasta shop in Bologna, because of the similar hexagonal tilework and glass disk presenting all of their homemade pasta. The server appreciated the connection I had made when I pointed out my observation to her, and she asked me if their pasta dishes lived up to what I ate in Bologna, which I confirmed. In fact, I preferred Boutique Emilia because of the intimacy and menu. Halfway through the dinner, I noticed that I sat right below a speaker, but the music was soft and did not disturb me, it only added to the ambience of the room without distracting from our conversation. The food was freshly made, served hot, and full of flavor. Their dedication to using high quality ingredients and carefully craft each pasta by hand is evident in the final dish. Both the charcuterie, pasta dishes, and dessert, were phenomenal. However, if I could change something I would have liked at least one additional green tortello in the third dish, since three felt slightly underwhelming even if the taste was good. My friend and I shared the desserts, so I tasted both the tiramisu and the chocolate cake. The tiramisu was creamy and delicious, and the chocolate cake was properly dry - intentionally, not by mistake - which made their choice of using mascarpone instead of whipped cream a brilliant culinary move. Mascarpone is thicker and creamier than whipped cream, which meant that it lasted longer in the mouth and complimented the dryness of the cake well. It was a good play on textures. We desperately need more of these types of restaurants in Copenhagen where the price to quality ratio is appropriate. Far too often when I go out to eat in the city, the meal is just not worth the price the restaurant is asking for, and there is a horrible culture where many restaurants offer you water, seemingly for free, and then charge you an obscene price for it. Here, at Boutique Emilia, we naturally ordered something to drink, but not water, yet they brought us tap water for free when we declined to buy water. Such a seemingly small gesture means a lot, and I will gladly return to eat here again. I want to thank Boutique Emilia for a good evening. They succeed in honoring their culinary heritage, and it is important to recognize when people take their job seriously, treat their customers with respect, and live up to their promises. If they ever decide to move to a bigger location, I sincerely hope they will not lose the intimacy and attention to detail that they are currently displaying in...
Read moreBoutique Emilia is the kind of place you dream about long after you've left. Run by a lovely Italian couple, Noemi and Stefano, this isn't just a restaurant; it feels like you've been warmly invited into their home for a heartfelt meal. With only about 16 seats, the atmosphere is intimate and buzzing with a passion for authentic Emilia-Romagna cuisine.
The meal is a set tasting menu, a journey of five or six courses that showcases the best of handmade pasta and regional flavors. Be prepared for some seriously divine pasta. The Signature tortellini in a Parmigiano Reggiano cream sauce is so good it's been known to give people goosebumps. From a stunning beef tartare to start, to a classic tiramisu that concludes on a light and delicious note, every dish is a testament to skill and love.
The service, led by Stefano and the team, is often described as warm, professional, and spot-on. They expertly explain each dish and the stories behind them, making the experience personal and engaging. It’s this combination of sensational food and genuine hospitality that makes an evening here so memorable.

Read moreStraight into my top 5 restaurants in Copenhagen! Small but very cosy restaurant with amazing food. It's like bringing a small piece of Bologna to Copenhagen. The pasta is top level and the Lambrusco (red sparkling wine) was just as I remembered - and for those prices it's definitely worth a visit! A few small pointers to make it to 10/10 - dim the lights for a better atmosphere (it's way too bright). Add some kind of liquid cheese to the starter platter (if not squacquerone, just something else) and maybe a few more affettati like a strong salame or something, and two more tigelle (price can even be higher) The tiramisù was lovely, nothing to add.. Maybe put homemade gelato on the dessert menu.. The staff were the nicest italian people I've met at a restaurant in Denmark and Stefano gave a very good experience - looking forward...
