This bar came recommended. We loved the ambiance and it was very quiet tonight (Saturday evening at 8pm) so that suited us after a busy day. I can understand now why there were very few people eating. The vegetarian offering (lentils topped with roast veg) looked like some effort had been made but it was pretty bland. The desserts were an absolute joke! The trifle was a glass filled with a small layer of apple purée topped with granola then a black cherry and cream drizzled with a little cherry liqueur. No effort. I may as well have gone home and had breakfast again! The waffle was stale and chewy. Appalling! A handful of chopped apple was tossed on top with a drizzle of syrup. I don’t understand why my partner attempted to eat it! This is inexcusable. Please restaurant owner do us a favour and don’t offer food for sale unless it’s fit to be served. Punters don’t waste your money particularly on the desserts. Such a pity. PS I am aware this review is quite harsh. We went to this place cause we wanted to try smørrebrød but we were also looking for a place with a vegan option. The food was delicious but the service was terrible. We ordered two different types and two smørrebrød per type. However, the lady assumed we both wanted to try both flavours without asking if we had any dietary requirements or allergies. The most annoying part is that she asked us to just fix it ourselves at the table while saying that no one ever gets two of the same flavour. Incredible food and atmosphere here! Everything about this place is on point and for a very reasonable price! We had the hot meal of the day each which was a vegan mushroom bourguignon, and shared the green board - definitely ordered with eyes bigger than our bellies as the portion sizes were very generous. Some really well crafted food there - the chef really knows how to cook quality, interesting vegan food! Somehow this together with 5 beers and a vegan beer cake came to around 800kr which feels unheard of for Copenhagen! Vegan or not, you have to check this...
