My wife, a couple of friends, and I decided to test the limits of our cocktail knowledge (and liver function) at Gaia Cocktail Bar in Copenhagen. Let me just say, if there were a Nobel Prize for Mixology, Gaia would sweep the floor with the competition.

Gaia Cocktails is a beautiful, small, intimate and innovative cocktail bar that ticked all the boxes for us on a sprightly Friday afternoon in Copenhagen. Of the many eateries and bars that we have visited around the wotld, there was something deeply personal and quietly customised about our experience at Gaia. The menu has a unique list and blend of cocktails, that i had not heard of. The fancy glassware, serving displays, decor, colour scheme, use of natural materials, the limited number of tables and carefully considered seating plan within the limited space adds to the charm of it all. Having opted for the China Box for myself and my hubby the Jack In The Box, our mixologist Gustav, spared no enthusiasm or creativity in delivering the ultimate cockrail drinking experience. A very unique and incredible cocktail bar! My wife and I stopped in without a reservation on a Sunday evening and were pleased to find the bar wasn't too busy, so it was easy to get a table. The bartender, Evelyn, was very friendly and explained the drinks to us after we ordered, including which had special features such as bubbling or smoking. My wife got two drinks, one that was a hot boozy tea, another called the Black Pearl, and I got the Calm Bath and all of them were amazing. They not only tasted fantastic, each had a unique feature that made them an experience as well.
