We ordered two pizzas Margherita for takeaway as we live close by and always thought the restaurant looks very nice from the outside. Unfortunately, we had a very bad experience. First of all, it was only lunch time and there were no other customers, but the kitchen was already out of buffle mozzarella even though we wanted to try the “restaurant’s tip” to have the buffle mozzarella put on the pizza after it comes out of the oven so that it only melts a little. So we had to take normal mozzarella which was really disappointing as there is not that much “special” about a pizza Margherita then. When we were home after max 5 minutes walk and wanted to eat the pizza, it was not really warm anymore and the rim was very crispy and thin even though on picture outside, it looks like the rim is quite thick and fluffy. The pizza was topped very poorly as well and nothing at all differentiated it from a supermarket pizza - neither the look nor the taste. After telling friends about this bad experience, we think we were just very unlucky because everyone recommends this place. Also when we look at the pictures other guests took, it’s not comparable at all to the pizzas we got. Anyway, we will probably not give it another try because it was not...
Read moreWe arrived about 845pm and ordered. Drink and food order was delivered very quickly. The pizzasere amazing tasting delicious and fresh. We was very disappointed after being asked if we would like desert only to be told we could then only have tiramisu and another cold choice as the kitchen had closed. It was now only 9.25 for a restaurant on google advertised to close at 1030. I have never visited a restaurant before where the kitchen closes before the last guests have ordered. We really wanted to order the desert pizza but instead only ordered 1 tiramisu, we had only been in there for 40mins. Although tasty it was very overpriced costing more than most central London restaurants charge for deserts and an extreamly small portion that would only fill a small yogurt pot. Overall we felt rushed out, which was a shame given how much we enjoyed the pizzas. I wouldn't return here as overpriced compared to others...
Read moreThis place looked so cozy from the outside that we immediately wanted to give it a try. Also the interior was nice and the staff friendly, so we had a good feeling. Unfortunately, the food itself was a huge disappointment. Starter plate was OK, although slightly weird combination. My wife's mushroom cannellonis did not have any taste, least of all mushroom. My pizza tasted like pesto and oil on a piece of paper. I must wonder some good reviews this place has received for its pizzas, because trust me, I have had better ones at gas stations. And these were clearly not just failed portions, but there is simply no vision about what good food is. This was all very sad, because we would really have wanted to like the place. I can recommend this place for a glass of wine, and perhaps some snacks, but...
