I have had Eritrean/Ethiopian food only once before, so I was looking forward to trying it again, and see if it was as good as I remembered it. Spoilers: it was. From the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted with a nice welcoming smile, and felt right at home. The waiter was attentive, so we always felt cared for and noticed, when we wanted something. She was also good at explaining the food to us, so we could pick what felt right to us. The atmosphere was nice, warm and calm, and even though the place was packed, it didn’t feel noisy or to much. So wonderful. The food was good, well seasoned and more than enough to feel full and replenished. I wholeheartedly recommend this place, and will definitely be back myself!

The service was great. Small but cosy place. The staff are very friendly. Everything was nice. The “bread” seemed unlimited and very soft texture. It could have been a bit more spicy (the dishes that were meant to be spicy). I enjoyed the beef, lentils and chickpeas the most. The spinach was a bit more boring without many herbs. In general the experience was great! Value for money is amazing. I think it was quite cheap in general, and the alcoholic drinks were super super cheap! Totally recommend the place. The dish for 3 people contain a bit too much food and we couldn’t finish it which was a pity.

My date and I were planning on going to a coffee house but it was closed, so we walked a block and spotted this place... Definitely a feast of an experience! Not only my first restaurant in Denmark, also my first time trying Ethiopian cuisine! We ended up getting the meat sampler and the veggie sampler, all beautifully laid out on a giant plate to share, with so many different flavors to experience. The service was sweet and attentive, the decor was interesting, and the place had a wonderful cozy feel to it. A fantastic meal to share over some excellent conversation! 😊

My boyfriend and I used to like their food and today we were really looking forward to it. Based on the business info, we made a reservation at 12 through their booking, which was then confirmed. We arrived on time and found out that the restaurant was closed, but a few people, seems like owners’ friends or employees told us the owner will come soon. Then we decided to walk around and wait. 10 minutes later we arrived again, then the people outside started to joke, “ah it’s only 11:00. It will be open at 12.” ( It was already 12:15.) Then finally someone got to ask the owner then got a reply that they will open at 14. Then why accepted our reservation for 12? Why the business info was not updated if they actually don’t open from 12? We simply don’t understand. All the excitement just turned to disappointment. Sadly, though we loved the food, we doubt we will...

In the heart of one the fanciest neighbourhoods in the world you can find a lot of surprising things, including a whole street full of Ethiopian joints and black barbershops. And you will not be disappointed. If you want to try a cuisine that is somehow a bridge between Indian and maghreb food you should come here. Various forms of stews served with injeras are both spicy and satiating. Tibsi begie is you could argue equivalent to rohan josh. And quality of coffee is just great, plus ehtiopian beers are also surprisingly unique. Plus the most welcoming staff. The wait could be shorter, but it is well worth it. And also the bill will not drain you pocket too much. And if you get ten mains,...
