Our last night in Copenhagen meant we wanted a special meal - so after seeing all the positive reviews of this Norrebro neighborhood restaurant, we decided to make a 6:30pm reservation. Ordered 3 lobster rolls and one fish and chips and spent the next 45 minutes just waiting for our food. The restaurant is small and only seats a few tables inside with an additional few benches outside. We were dining on a Tuesday night and though not expecting fast-food fry times, 45 minutes was a really long wait between ordering food and service to table!
But here’s the (VERY)good part: the lobster roll was superb! Served on a delicately toasted brioche bun, the fresh lobster meat accompanied with a drizzle of the Asian dressing (your choice), the flavors and fresh ingredients were allowed to shine - and not chopped & smothered by mayonnaise. Could have done without the curly fried prawn/rice chip for decor topping as it wasn’t crispy or particularly tasty so these were set aside on our plate.
Fish & chips plate was also very good. Fresh and delicately battered. Large bowls of double fried fries were crunchy and tasty and accompanied all our meals. Oh, and truffle mayo to dip - what’s not to like?!
Rating Hooked Norrebro 4 stars though worthy of 5 if not for the long wait…. But maybe it was...
Read moreThis was a great surprise! The food was excellent. You order at the counter and given a disk that will light up when your food is ready. The man and lady behind the counter were very friendly and helpful. My wife ordered the fish and chips. The piece of fish was large. She ate the fish, but not the fried outside part. This is because too much fried food upsets her stomach. The chips were very good also. Fried to perfection. I ordered the poke bowl and the green salad. The poke bowl was excellent. My favorite meal here in Copenhagen. It contained black rice, pickled ginger, edamame, tuna, seaweed, soy, sesame and a spicey mayo. I could eat this weekly and be very, very happy. The green salad was spinach, edamame and a dressing. Also very good. I ordered a large pale ale. I am glad I ordered the large. It was about a pint (473 ml). The small looks to be about 8 ounces (237 ml). I highly recommend...

It's actually somewhere between 2 and 3 stars. Definitely can't say I disliked everything but for sure not gonna be back. Taste wise - American lobster roll was really blend, totally lack of flavor. Price - we paid more than 500 dkk for the whole tray from the photo. Portions are really small, especially rolls (125dkk for literally hotdog size bun). In place with no table service I think it's a bit too much. We left a bit hungry at the end. Also rolls are made with brioche bun - unfortunately we don't like them and we would never order them but there was no information in the menu about that.
Positives: they do something different here, fish and chips had interesting spice in it, starters have been really nice - especially scallops...
