We wrote in reservation that there will be pescatarian person. With the first course - 1 person got fried chicken, second - cucumber salad(when in the menu was oyster mushroom kfc style to make it similar). Next course the waiter said it’ll be shrimp toast. I received sesame noodles (cold!) and my boyfriend big duck with 2 bao buns. Again no proteins or any nutrients. After we mentioned it - it turned out to be a mistake of a waitress, I was not supposed to get the shrimp toast(I got it after mentioning the issue). For the main course (butter chicken and tofu for pescatarian). Those Meals had 2 different sauces. On top of the butter chicken was just thick layer of fat, it was barely edible. As a pescatarian I received vegetarian menu with barely any proteins. It should be mentioned that restaurant is not providing pescatarian menu so I wouldn’t visit. Getting for the same price, 2 different menu’s, one rich in ingredients(chicken, duck, chicken) and second with cucumber salad, sesame noodles and tofu in tomato sauce is under average. You can say it’s new place. All meals are from different countries, you can’t say what they’re aiming for. We had big expectations but it was just big disappointment. Drinks...
Read moreWas really excited to try Jade but I was left really disappointed. We went for the tasting menu with eight dishes served across four servings and the first three servings were bathing in Szechuan pepper and I could not taste anything else after a while. They might as well have sprinkled some on the dessert as well, which was very mediocre at best. For 495 DKK per person, Jade is on the higher end of tasting menu pricing spectrum in Copenhagen and I expect a lot more for this price. We were served one small fried chicken piece each and it tasted like McDonald’s chicken and the main courses were noodles and very bland pork with rice and beans. Our waitress was lovely, the wine she suggested was very nice and the restaurant is beautiful, but the food was...
Read moreJade is a really great spot on a pretty saturated food scene where it’s hard to stand out! As others have mentioned, the decor is stunning and the service, polite and professional. Food was delicious, with bold and creative flavours and very well seasoned!
The flavours can lean a little spicy so that’s something to keep in mind, though more mala/numbing spicy than actually hot spicy and I think it’s expected given the Szechuan and Hong Kong influences.
Our main course and desert were very slow to come out (I think there was some sort of mix-up with the orders) but the staff more than made up for it by apologising and offering us a drink...
