During my travels in Denmark, I discovered a Vietnamese restaurant that was a true gem. The contrast between the cold Danish weather and the warm, inviting atmosphere inside was striking. I came in on a cold and wet Sunday night (this may be redundant in Copenhagen!) My server was extraordinary, there whenever I needed her, she let me stay a little bit late, because I was working on some writing, we had a super interesting conversation about food and culture and the world. And the food itself was superb. In the words of my home state New Jersey “Bangin Slammin, dope, it was lit!” The flavors were rich, and very complex. I had a prawn dish with vegetables, a stirfry, and it was world class. Generous portions. And a fantastic lemonade with strawberry passion fruit. In fact I liked it so much I had another one. Delicious authentic Vietnamese food and friendly service. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that there are a good amount of Vietnamese restaurants in Copenhagen. This restaurant opened only two months ago in Dec '22. I ate here 4 times during my 6-day visit including one time as take away. I also ate at two other Vietnamese restaurants and this one was my most preferred. Good portions and reasonably priced for expensive Copenhagen. The beef pho was warm and flavorful, a perfect escape from the cold outside.
