I reserved a table here for lunch as knew we’d be visiting the museum and thought it would make a nice lunch spot. I was conscious the reviews weren’t great but Copenhagen is known for good restaurants so thought I’d give it a try. From arriving to leaving you could tell the team were struggling to keep up with the amount of people coming through. We ordered a smorrebrod each (unfortunately they’d already run out of one or didn’t have it which was a shame with a very small menu) and they were quick to be served, nice portion size and tasty. I noticed the tables around us get served the wrong food and then have to wait awhile for the right food. We were also placed near the windows but also near the station the team uses to prepare the new tables so there was always someone very close behind me. There was also a charge for still water (something I don’t understand in Copenhagen). The only 4 is for the food but I wouldn’t come back or recommend as there are much better ...

DKK 110 for a slice of delicious bread with a well prepared chicken salad is to me - well to much. Thus the three stars.
I have absolutely no issue with the open sandwiches as they were served and enjoyed. Their are presented as danish open sandwiches with a twist.
Being from Denmark I think the twist was not that obvious. My impression of the restaurant room is also - well not as designed and luxurious as the price list implies. Nice and a little too black and gray in spite of the (inspiration?) very large windows.
I suggest to the owner: go visit Aamands and try their open sandwiches and get inspired to set either you food or you prices according to your ability - not your ambition.
Beer in 25 centiliter bottles is a great idea. Good for a lunch and driving home afterward. DKK 25 for nice cold water? Hmmm. Climate change?
I my humble opinion you have still a way to go to reach your perceived...

First, they made me wait for good 15 minutes (I politely waited in front of the "wait to be seated" sign) pretending like they never noticed me (I was literally in their face) maybe because I'm an Asian? I can't help but think that way. Other people who walked in got seated first. I went to the counter and told them I was waiting the whole time (IN THE STORE, NOT OUTSIDE) and the worker said she didnt see me. Excuse me I was in front of those people you just seated and even got ordered from.
They thought I didn't speak any English or something and asked me to say beef tartare three times. I had to say the wine label two times. My pronunciation was very clear and extremely fluent.
Lastly they charged for still water (not bottled) for 25 dkk. Is this normal? Am I getting this because...
