Madhuset — Restaurant in Copenhagen Municipality

Best Pizza I’ve ever had (really). We went to Madhuset in January 2020 on our trip to Copenhagen on our last day before we went home back to Hamburg, Germany. At first I was not sure if it wouldn’t be better to eat our pizza in the car because it is really not a spacious and very tiny place. But it was not crowded at all and so we decided to eat in the store on that one and only little table and had each a white pizza with mascarpone, delicious salami, lots of rocket leafs and tastiest spices made in a stone oven. I tried to „remake“ the pizza at home, that’s how damn good it was (failed badly). If I ever go back to Copenhagen, that’s the place for me to eat. Highly recommended and deserved five stars for the taste of your Pizza dear Madhuset...

It was a cold and rainy night and we decided we needed to have pizza at least once on our trip. The excellent reviews of this establishment helped confirm that this was the place to try. While small inside, with no room to sit and eat, they had seating just outside the entrance, under an awning with an electric heater. We chose a Ventrichine pizza to split, my husband and I. It was the perfect amount for us to split yet not be stuffed (as we planned to seek out an ice cream establishment after). The quality of ingredients was obvious. We were tired after walking around the whole city and found this pizza place while searching for one with good reviews. Were surprised by how good the pizza were.
