We tried the restaurant during Dining Week in autumn 2022. The location is great and we really liked the interior, especially because we sat just next to a window overlooking Axeltorv. The waitress we had was nice and friendly, but she only gave us the wine menu, we had to ask for the "normal" drinks menu. Except for wine, there were no suggestions on what drinks (juices / non-alcoholic cocktails) could go with the food. The food was unfortunately not at all what we were expecting. For both the starters and the main, we got two dishes, and I guess the idea was that one is traditional and one is innovative. The seafood starters were rather good, although the smoked salmon was very standard. The main course was a huge disappointment. One dish was basically ham wrapped in leverpastej - both parts were dry and boring. The other was a creamy pork ragu that felt very heavy and had a huge amount of hazelnuts, to the point where you basically couldn't taste anything else. The dessert was good, but couldn't compensate for the rest. I have to note here that the dessert is the only one of these dishes that is actually in the regular menu. Therefore it is possible that these dishes are not really representative for the regular menu. Nevertheless, based on this experience, I will not return here, as there are many nicer restaurants in Copenhagen for...
Read moreI don’t know … this place has been hyped by the big Danish newspapers but I don’t think we will return . Don’t get me wrong , the food is actually quite nice but for almost 900 DKK per person for a 3 course menu and corresponding wine you’d expect a nicer atmosphere and bigger portions . The place is a bit 80s style , there is pop music playing and there were some apparently regular guests at the bar guests with big tattoos or a short with a naked picture of themselves you would probably not expect for a fine dining place , which price-wise with 1700 DKK for 2 would correspond to. No wonder we still got a seat with short notice on a Saturday evening . Again, the food is quite nice, the service is good and friendly but it needs more for a fine...
Read moreWe had a mini tasting menu consisting of 3 dishes. The main course was my favorite, the oxtail was tender, and the carrot with shrimp oil was excellent. However, the scallops with green strawberries were a bit bland, and the dessert was tangy, much like many of the other desserts I've tried at restaurants in Copenhagen. Perhaps it's due to the frequent use of rhubarb? I don't mind rhubarb at all, it was just that I am not into acidic dessert that much.
We also ordered the grilled bread with duck liver mousse, which was savory and generously portioned.
It happened to be the restaurant's 3rd anniversary when we visited. We were treated to a complimentary cocktail and mussel rockefeller. How thoughtful was that. Thank you so much and...
