Two years ago we commended your restaurant for the excellent service and superb food. Yesterday we took again the "Perfect Day" menu, but things were not like two years ago. Food was still good, but the table and seats were very dirty. Yet we had to insist that the table would be cleaned before our food would be served. At the prices practiced (this is a very expensive place) why not use paper table covers ? That would be so much more hygienic than the fake leather tables with sticky leftovers from thousands of previous customers. Then the service was not at all what you expect from a high end sushi restaurant. We ordered cocktails to start our evening: they arrived with no munchies (110 DKK per glass), but less than 5 min later our menu began arriving. Cocktails are drinks BEFORE a meal, not to drink along your food. Then the food kept on arriving too fast. When the warm sticks arrived we we still not finished with our sushis. When we were finished with our sushis, then our warm sticks ... were cold. My wife wanted some sweet soja sauce. It took forever to arrive. Having not been asked if we wanted a drink since our starting cocktails, we ordered a beer, which of course arrived after our meal was finished. A catastrophic service. Our waitress was wearing lots of tattoos but that does not make a good waitress (and is not very classy either). Wake up Sticks and Sushis: select and train your staff, use new paper table covers for each new customer, serve cocktails with a few little munchies, bring new dishes when customers are finished with their previous ones, etc, and you will go to...
Read moreI would totally give 5 stars for the food itself, I like the way it was presented and everything we ordered was delicious. Definitely bonus points for the little details, that make the customer experience nice, such as waiters helping out with jackets, toothpicks in the bathrooms and menu with photos as that really helps if you’re not an expert within sushi-universe.
Although I have to put only 3 stars as few things seemed to be quite off and left us feeling quite awkward: We were served second round of sparkling water without even being asked if we needed another round of it (and we didn’t and we never drank a drop of it) and we were charged twice for it. This is unacceptable and unfortunately we are not the first ones to experience it (as per other reviews).
While waiters are very attentive and nice, most of the time it was wayyy too much - we felt like we are objects of the so called up-selling and there was no way to escape it. High five for whoever trained the staff, but also remember that customers don’t like to feel pressured in such a way and it’s a restaurant where people go to enjoy a night out, not tele-sales.
The tables are realllllly close to one another and it’s hard to have a private conversation when your elbows are almost touching the elbows of the people sitting at the next table.
While the food is delicious, maybe the value for money was not really matching our expectations.

Read moreUha hvor skal jeg starte…. Tirsdag den 1 april (ja man skulle tro det var en aprilsnar…) Vi bestilte via Wolt fra Sticks and Sushi Borgergade. En tur på under 5 min med scooter. Vi bestilte Maki Maki menu med spicy edemame. Budet ankom til vores hotel, hvor jeg tog imod det. Da vi pakkede det ud, lignede det noget der var løgn…. Sushien var lunken, usmagelig og faldt fra hinanden. Vi kunne ikke finde wasabien, indtil vi fandt den under et af stykkerne. Vi har spist mange sushisteder, deriblandt Sticks, men det har var suverænt det ringeste og mest uspiselige vi har oplevet. Vi klagede med det samme til Wolt, som ville undersøge sagen. Efter en masse ringen og skriven frem og tilbage, viste det sig, at Sticks Borgergade ikke ville vedkende sig den ringe kvalitet og henviste til, at det var Woltbudets skyld, til sidst gik de med til til 50% afslag via Wolt, hvor Wolt ikke kunne gøre mere. Vi ringede til Sticks Borgergade og talte med manageren Joe, hvor vi forklarede vores oplevelse. De forsøgte flere gange at tørre den over på Wolt, hvor de til sidst tilbød, at vi kunne komme forbi og få samme menu og de ville vise at de kunne gøre det bedre. Om fredagen den 4 april ringede vi ind og oplyste vores tlf nr. jf. aftalen med Joe og medarbejderne sagde, at vi bare skulle komme forbi og de ville finde et bord til os. Da vi kom derind, stod Joe i døren og anviste folk ind på restauranten. Vi oplyste, at det var os som havde en menu til gode, hvorefter Joe ændrede fuldstændig karakter og ignorerer os imens han anviste andre gæster ind. Det var virkelig akavet og vi troede ikke vores egne øjne. Derefter kom han han til os, da der ikke var andre gæster og sagde: I kan hente jeres take away oppe i take away baren. Vi spurgte om vi ikke måtte spise i restauranten, men Joe oplyste, at vi ikke var velkomne…. (Vi ville selvfølgelig have købt drikkevarer/vin)
Vi har aldrig følt os så uvelkomne og ydmyget…. Vi var faktisk chokeret og forsøgte at grine af hele situationen, samtidig med at vi var rasende…. Da vi satte os og ventede i take away baren, spurgte vi ekspedienten om vi måtte spise vores take away i baren, hvilket vi ikke måtte…. (Der var masser af plads). Det var tydeligt at han var instrueret fra Joe. Da maden kom, smed ekspedienten destruktivt pinde, soya og tilbehør hårdt ned i posen og sagde værsgo.
Vi har aldrig oplevet en så arrogant og uprofessionel behandling og vi tager sagen videre til den øverste ledelse og håber at Joe følte at han fik sin hævn og at det var det hele værd. Denne oplevelse vil vi gøre alt i vores magt for at andre skal informeres om, så de ikke oplever samme fejltagelse ved at tage ind på Sticks Borgergade. Behøver jeg at nævne, at vi aldrig kommer til at spise hos jer igen…. Opdatering: Vi har fået en virkelig fin undskyldning fra kvalitetsafdelingen, som blev løst på fineste vis, hvorfor vi ændrer håndteringen...
