I visited with my mum and I can’t recommend. Like some of the other tourists reviews, the restaurant seems to think tourists won’t be coming back and just take advantage.
We ordered the lobster bisque as a starter because another review said it was good. Unfortunately it was the saltiest lobster bisque we’ve ever had. My mum and I had one spoonful and could not have anymore so we left it.
As we were in a new city, we weren’t feeling comfortable so we didn’t send the food back but the waiter came and asked what was wrong. We thought this would be a start to a much sensible service. Unfortunately that was it! The waiter took the food away and did not come back to let us know what the chefs thought neither suggested what else could be offered. No alternative starters suggested or apologies that the food was not in our taste.
The mains were brought out after a while which were good and portions were large.
Up to this point we were fine. We would have appreciated an explanation after he took our food and not left us hanging. But we assumed the bisque was cancelled and we filled our hunger with the mains. But then they brought out the bill and the bisque had not been removed.
Confused because we had hardly touched the bisque, we asked the waiter and he said the kitchen said nothing was wrong with the soup. They had sold 150 of the same batch that day and with a patronising tone he let us know that lobster is from the sea so its salty.
I decided not to make a scene and ruin my holiday so just paid for it and left the restaurant asap! But for a restaurant with this price point I would expect so much more.
Can’t recommend until they take their customers more seriously! 1 star because we will not be...

A phone-call julefrokost arranged a month before with deposits paid for 19 persons in total. When we arrived, we were asked to give our coats to be put in wardrobe - please bear in mind this is charged additional 10 DKK. In my opinion, this is quite ridiculous for a restauran, even in Denmark. It is expected in night bars, but never seen this practice in a restauran. It's not about 10 DKK, but more a principle and understanding the hospitality services. I suggest to a restaurant owner to charge this 10 DKK within the food price to stop embarissing the image (if they aim to have it) of this restaurant...
Julefrokost (495 Dkk) was fine, with 3 courses and dessert. Regarding to drinks we had issues as a manager wanted us all to buy all inclusive mene with unlimited drinks (beer, wine and soda/water) valid for three hours that cost 850 Dkk, but after some negotations we found a compromise where one table will be for "all inclusive" while another table was with those opted for the solution "pay what you drink". The service for fine, restaurant staff looked quite stressed (this could be due to a restaurant manager who was at the bar all the time).
In general, it was not very comfortable dinner, most of peple said they didn't feel very welcoming, food was average, and also they need to improve overall image. The feeling is they only care about charging as much as they could at the end, not caring about their customers.
Unfortunately, cannot recommend this restaurant until they improve significantly, mostly in terms of improving attitude...
Read moreMy friend and I know very little about Copenhagen and were looking for somewhere to eat, but the city seems pretty much shut up for the night after 10pm. The restaurateur of the Mexican Cantina, Chiccos, who had just closed, recommended it to us, saying they open til two We weren't sure at first. It's old world charm and crisp white linen seemed too formal for what we were looking for. We imagined a sort of tapas style late night bar, but as the whole city seemed like a ghost town we went in.The interior is wonderfully old fashioned and it is like stepping into a gracious old theatre. I love the gold text that runs around the ceiling cornice. Makes a welcome change from the ubiquitous modern Danish cool. We were the only people in, which didn't make for a lively atmosphere, but the waiter was quietly sweet and helpful. I'm a vegetarian and the menu proved to be wholeheartedly, full-bloodedly Danish, so my meal was an improvised version of the Spiced Pancake appetizer, without the shrimp and the salmon. My friend had the Stegt flæsk, which the waiter described as a traditional Christmas dish and when it arrived we both gasped at the size of it. But my friend did a brilliant job of nearly eating the entire plateful and said it was really great. My avocado was melt in the mouth, the salad crisp and made a wonderful contrast to the spiciness of the pancake. We both enjoyed the food and give a hearty recommendation to this...
