I do not recommend it at all. It was the worst experience I've ever had in Zona Colonial, ever. We (a group of 6) arrived early, when the place was empty. We started ordering immediately but noticed some stress in the atmosphere but went slong with it. Then we noticed that they lacked personnel and the Manager himself told us that. And we went along with it, too. Just to play it easier, we even helped with our own servings. And we had to wait longer than usual because of the missing staff. And we went along with it. We ordered several dishes, several beers, drinks and even juice. We're listening to some music that the Manager was playing from YouTube. People started to come in, and the service got even worst. Regardless, we went along with the ongoing attitude from one of the waitresses, who never smiled and had any sympathy with towards us. At one point, we asked an additional serving of ice, and the Manager bursted with a real customer service lacking-I-don't-care-attitude, like "If I don't bring it it's because I'm busy!", instead of going along with a positive attitude towards a group like us that were behaving well and patiently. That fell like.a bomb in the group and an argument started, because we felt it inappropiate, and instead of doing his job, the Manager started yelling at us with such a bad attitude and big-ego-driven personality, that it was getting worst on blth ends. The same Manager indeed felt he was so right, that he closed the accoint and asked us to leave the place, which we did without any incident happening. We humbly, cleaned up the place and left it impecable to show him a lesson of humility and of customer service, that obviously, he didn't have at all. And I'm sure that neither anyone from the rest of the group will ever visit or recommend this place. The food was not good, the taco chips felt greasy and old, overall, no good-quality mexican food, at all. Check other reviews and you'lI realize more. I do not recommend it. It is and it was one-of-a-kind terrible and disgusting experience of mistreating customers never...

The best veggie tacos have finally been found hallelujah!! DEFINITELY come here if you’re looking delicious, vegetarian-friendly Mexican food. They even have a section aside on the menu for veggie plates which I really appreciate. I ordered the three cheese quesadilla and two hard veggie tacos. The quesadilla was tiny but the server had warned me so before it came out so there was no surprise. But don’t let the size fool you; it was the perfect appetizer, not too filling and absolutely scrumptious. The tacos..made my eyes tear up from happiness knowing my search for the best veggie taco in Santo Domingo has ended. What an amazing combo of flavors and textures wow. They have their own hot sauces that are soo yummy and spicy! I always judge a Mexican spot by the hot sauces they use. 11/10 for me in this department. Lastly, the margaritas. Fresh lime juice. Perfect ratio. Smooth. Tasty. After 3 i was feeling nice.com. I’m about to make this place my new favorite in town! Will definitely return to this cozy atmosphere and...

I picked Zona Tacos because I saw it had decent reviews; however, I was really disappointed. First, this is a very small establishment with a tiny food prep area and a limited menu. Evidently the chef did not show, so the one server was left to serve tables, prepare food, and make drinks. As a vegetarian, I was shocked to hear that they were "all out of vegetables," so I had only one option (two slices of bland quesadilla, no salsa or toppings). My margarita was neither frozen nor on the rocks, even after I asked for ice. The portions were small and not great value, considering the price. At the end of our meal, we had to go up to the register to pay (instead of waiting for the check), and were told that it is cash only. To top it off, as the server ran our bill, the owner came over and started an argument in front of all the customers. It was extremely unprofessional. There are plenty of other places to eat in the Zona, and I definitely wouldn't...

Having had a lot of Mexican food I'm picky. Got the chimichanga with res machada. Never had that meat style. A bit dry. Could have tossed it is some sauce before assembly. The white sauce used was kinda sweet. I asked and the cook just said white cheese. I'm assuming ricotta. Unsual bit not bad. Great presentation for the dish. Biggest gripe is the sauce bottles. Clearly not been cleaned in a while and the metal on the bottle was rusted. The cook station has low light. Props to the chef for being able to cook like that. Also you have to go through the kitchen to go into the bathroom. Seems like a hygiene issue. At 450 pesos for the chimichanga it was fair value for the location in the colonial zone.
