Dining at Africa Restaurant in Luxor was a lovely experience, and definitely a highlight of our trip. We caught the boat from the Luxor Museum and enjoyed a pleasant walk up to the restaurant. The location is fantastic, with stunning views overlooking the Nile, creating a relaxing and scenic backdrop for your meal.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is welcoming, with a cozy yet lively vibe, perfect for enjoying a leisurely meal. The menu offers a variety of dishes, with options for both local and international tastes. To be honest, the food was pretty good—we had a mix of Egyptian specialties, and everything was flavorful and well-prepared. The grilled fish and falafel were especially delicious, and the spicy hummus was a nice touch to start.

What really made the experience special, aside from the great food, was the view of the Nile—there’s something about watching the boats glide by as you enjoy your meal that makes the experience feel even more authentic. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit.

Food is very expensive for what is offering. We received initially a higher price on a menu without prices for food as being tourists and after few questions they agreed to reduce the price from 180 LE to 150 LE per course and after few more questions seeing that we are not happy with the situation we received an English menu with the price of 110 LE which seems acceptable but still high comparing with some others restaurants for the same course menu. Also the tables were not so clean and the manager was arguing with us that they do different kind of food and that's why the price is higher.

Recomandation of the restaurant was received by our driver who explained that the food is fresh and cheap. Althought we had lunch at a later hour around 3 PM the justification of the price does not make any sens. Price was not specified in the meniu besides the drink meniu. The fresh drinks were mixed with water making the flavour less dens then a normal smoothie. Portions were small and food came to us too fast like it was already waiting for us. We saw no other people there and no one had offered to clean our table. Experince was shocking as well as the price for the dishes that did not make any sense. Do avoid beeing taked...
