Vasko Garden City — Restaurant in Cairo

I recently visited this coffee shop and had a bit of a mixed experience. The coffee? Absolutely fantastic. The blend was rich, and the flavors were on point. If you're a coffee lover, you'll definitely be satisfied. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming, perfect for a laid-back hangout or a quick work session. The location is great too—easily accessible.

However, the customer service really left me frustrated. I specifically ordered a decaffeinated coffee because I’m sensitive to caffeine, but when I got home, I realized I was already shaking. I couldn’t enjoy the coffee, which was a huge letdown. On top of that, I tried both the salmon and turkey sandwiches, and both left me with a stomach ache. I expected better quality for the price. As for the banana cake, it was dry—not at all the moist, flavorful treat I had hoped for.

I double-checked their hours online, which said they close at 2 am. But when I arrived, they told me they close at 1 am, and the last order is at 12:30 am. Apparently, the hours weren’t updated they said, it was frustrating. They should update their online information.

One bright spot was their matcha drinks. Seriously, they were so good! I highly recommend giving them a try if you're into matcha.

Overall, great coffee and matcha, but the customer service and food quality could use some improvement. Would I go back? Maybe, but I'd be more cautious about...

Off the top of my head, it's the most wonderful place in garden city and downtown area now. And i have to thank my god every day because they have launched this branch nearby to my work area alkasr al ainy hospitals.

Although i don't like the korba branch of vasko. I have really loved the mall of arab Branch and this amazing one which is located in the front of the salam theater, in the heart of cairo, inside the old soul of old cairo which melts my heart exactly. So i do appreciate the vibes there in addition to their great vintage decor, the background music.

Finally, the staff there are friendly and professional, i have lost my counter here, and i have found it there easily with the barista man. They also service very delicious drinks, especially for caffeine lovers. I have ordered white mocha frappe, flat white, and chicken ranch sandwich All were great and optimal.

The place is very suitable for woking or studying.

If you know me, you know I'm a Vasko fan (I frequently visit their Mall of Arabia branch). It's nice to finally have a clean coffee shop near Al Kasr Al Ainy Hospital with premium quality coffee and dessert. Usually, if I wanted to grab some okay-quality coffee, I had to go to Cilantro in Tahrir, which is mid, always very crowded and I've had a bad experience with one of their salads (straight up food poisoning). To be fair, I've never had a salad from Vasko. My usual order is tiramisu along with iced latte, and as always, it's more than perfect. The ambience is great too. The place is very clean and the decor compliments the shop, a long with the lofi beats. Kudos to the Vasko Team for serving quality consistently 👌 (Sorry for the bad angles...
