Mrwok — Restaurant in Geziret al Zamalik, Jazirat al Zamalik

My partner and I are traveling in Egypt (we're from Quebec), and we're both vegan. We found this place through Uber Eats, and we were really craving some asian flavours. Mr. Wok did not disappoint! I ordered by calling the restaurant, and the man who took my order was very patient because I only speak Lebanese dialect, so it's very hard for me to understand Egyptian dialect. But it took about 10 minutes to get the location for delivery correct, and in the end, he repeated the exact order for me to confirm it was right. He said 1h maximum, and we received it 45 min later. It cost 214 EGP for two "make your own" noodle box with delivery. The portion was HUGE, I have never gotten a take-out noodle dish so generous. They have tofu, shiitake mushrooms, regular mushrooms, so many different herbs and veggies like broccoli, nappa cabbage, peanuts, sesame seeds, lemongrass, pineapple, bellpepper, cilantro... And you can choose your base, we got some soba noodles, but they also have rice sticks and jasmine rice. I got the green thai sauce which was delicious and perfect!!! I wish I could give zero stars. I ordered my food at shortly before 8 pm for a total of 49 EGPs. At almost 10pm it finally arrived and my bill had magically changed to 74 EGP. Was it worth it? Most definitely not! It was aweful and I had to throw it away. It consisted of mushy rice for which they charged over 30 EGP, ompletely overcooked vegetables, and an god awful sauce they call green Thai curry, which has absolutely no resemblance to the original.
