It all started with breakfast cravings at work. Tabali Bistro’s founders were just looking for a decent breakfast meal in New Cairo but the options weren’t good enough. They took this opportunity and opened their very first branch in New Cairo, and now they’re expanding with a 3rd branch in Zamalek. With Tabali’s unique options like Cheese and pickled lemon-stuffed falafel, pepperoni pizza omelette, halloumi cheese, mini sandwiches for those whom seek variety, and cheesy fries with mushroom sauce, ordering breakfast at work for Mohandsin, Dokki, and Zamalek residents is no longer basic and boring. And don’t get us started with their freshly made bread that just takes the perfectly prepared classics to a whole new level of deliciousness. Dining in their beautifully decorated Zamalek branch is a cheerful experience you don’t want to miss. Also, their latest addition to the menu, Lahalebo eggs, won’t be the same at delivery, well... because, it’s basically the eggs version of fajita! It’s a fluffy omelette served on top of sausages and potatoes in a sizzling hot skillet. HOW COOL IS THAT?! It’s not all about breakfast at Tabali. They also have a wide selection of lunch and dinner friendly items like cheesy macaroni bechamel, to-die-for liver, a good selection of salads, a must try hawawshi with cheese, and so much more! Did we mention that they make their own sausages.

We usually go for breakfast, but we were craving feteeer so we gave it a shot. Portion and taste of everything was really really nice, but there comes pickled potatoes with the Hawawshi... It was uncooked the fork doesn't go through it and spices aren't strong enough to cover the taste of raw potatoes... When we informed the waiter, he went to the chef then we could clearly hear him yelling that this is what we do and we do it and he won't change it.... The guy came back and we told him that we are unable to eat it... The manager came said he tasted it and that's there standard here at TABALI but he is happy to exchange it with something else. We like their eggplant so we took that instead.... We had the Alexandrian meat hawawshi, ana TABALI with sojok fteeera and a French fries plate.... Yes the way this tiny plate of pickles is for 15 EGP so don't order that. We paid around 380 EGP total with one water with the order. Food nice... Service friendly... Chef yelling twice that we don't know their standards and that's how they do it not nice. Don't ever have tehina salad there.

Worst Service. We went for breakfast at around 9 am. We have been seated after waiting a little for a free table. Nobody told us to scan the menu. After scanning the menu and putting the order into the cart, a waiter took the order on paper and retyped it into a PC with touch display. We waited for so long, even when asked to at least get the ordered tea sooner, nothing happened. The guy shouted toward the guys downstairs but most of them were outside taking a break. The place was getting emptier and after almost 45 minutes the waiter approached me to ask for the order again as the system crashed. We left the place with a bitter taste without even getting a sip of water. While leaving, the senior staff were sitting and taking a break...The place opens at 8 and shortly after 9 it is already time to take a break and leave customers waiting. A lot of people running around with limited roles....
