مطعم حاتى الحريف الاقصر امام المحطه — Restaurant in Luxor City

Went in for dinner and was given the English menu with prices, confirmed the dish and price with the waiter, food was brought and quality was decent for typical Egyptian food.

Bill was brought and they added about 20% additional on the bill and I was given four reasons.

1. The price was changed yesterday and they adjusted the Arabic menu to reflect the change but not the English.
2. This is a sit in service tax.
3. These are regular taxes.
4. This is a tax for using my card (when I switched to cash the price stayed the same and they argued the above).

And all different waiters had different reasoning with no consistency. Wouldn't recommend, decent food, just felt like any shop in the Bazaar trying to rip off...

Food wasnt really good,they have 2 different menus with 2 different prices where difference between arabic and english menu is about 50 pounds or more. I asked from arabic menu,confirmed 3 times with them price,then on they try to claim 100 pounds more,showed them the menu,google translate copy etc,I luckily had exact change otherwise I see them not giving me any. Do not recommend it. Avoid this...

It’s a tourist trap. 50 egp or more the difference from English to arabic menu. It’s awful how the restaurant is cheating to tourist. A lot of restaurant are doing this that’s why I prefer sometimes to eat in fast food.
